Electric eyelash curler? im asian so i have monolids, would it work?

Question

Ok, I’ve had it. I have an eyelash curler, and I have eyelashes, so I
should be able to do some eyelash curling, yes? <sigh>. I see no
appreciable difference after curling my lashes, though. It’s so sad. I
have tried heating the pads with a blow drying first, and that didn’t
really help – I got a very small amount of curl that lasted a minute,
maybe, even though I put mascara on right away. I’ve even tried to follow
the curling with a coat of that special curling mascara, to no avail. The
curler I have is a plastic one, aqua and purple, which I bought from the
Douglas Parfumerie on the recommendation of the women working there who
said they all used it and it was great. Do some people have non-curling
lashes or something, or do I have the wrong tool?

Answer 1

Hillary, get either the Shiseido or
Shu Umera curler. I had tried every
other curler, & like you, nothing
worked. The Shiseido works like
magic. No heat needed.

Answer 2

I agree with Esther.  I have the Shisheido and it gets closer to the base of
your lashes and gets *all* of your lashes in one fell swoop.  It has a firmer
pad on the bottom than I’ve seen on metal ones like Maybelline or Revlon.  I
tried an old Revlon one the other day and it did nothing!
The Shisheido is really the best investment I’ve made because I would curl my
eyelashes if it was the only makeup thing I could do.

Question 1

Electric eyelash curler? im asian so i have monolids, would it work?

okay so would the electric eyelash curler be more effective them a regular curlers, but when i use the regular curlers, its not too good, its curled for like 7 minutes then goes back straight

Best Answer

Don’t use eyelash curlers because they are not good for you. I would buy mascara that might help you with this problem.

Question2

Metal eyelash curlers vs. heated electric ones?

K so I brought an electric Remington one, and so far it seems to do next to nothing – it even only seems to heat up a little bit.
So I am buying one of those metal/manual ones with the handles.

Which is better? Pros and cons? and any tips?

Best Answer – Chosen by Voters

I tried a heated one, and it did NOTHING for me. i have better results from the metal one (which isnt too stellar). You could perm your eyelashes if you want (dangerous tho i think)

Question 3

Are heated eyelash curlers effective?

Are heated (electric) eyelash curlers effective?
And if so, where are good stores to buy them in? (ie. faceshop, Sephora, etc). Lastly, what is the average price?

Thank you, answers much appreciated

Best Answer – Chosen by Asker

they can run anywhere from 3 to 15 dollars depending on the brand. Ive tried both types and my first try wasnt succesful it was a little wand it did nothing for my lashes

http://www.beautyfeast.com/img1/Heated-M…

and then i tried this kind of heated curler and it worked miracles my eyelashes stayed curled

http://gadgetchick.com/wp-content/T9CQvv…

you can find them at ulta stores, cvs pharmacy, and maybe walgreens.

Question 4

Can curling your lashes with a electric curler be bad for them ?

just wondering if doing that causes the same kind of damage like when you curl your normal hair. can it make eyelashes break or fall off ?

Best Answer – Chosen by Voters

It’s fine if you only do it occasionally but if it’s a regular thing then yes, it causes the same kind of heat damage as styling your hair

Where can i find a place in san bruno ca or near the bay area that does permanent eyelash curling?

Question 1

Eyelash perming?

For all of you who read May’s MARIE CLAIRE:

Would you try the eyelash perm? It sounds painful, but it might give great
results.

Answer

Scary as it sounds, I would actually consider it if it didn’t have to be
repeated every few months.  But then again I kind of like the whole
eyelash curler ritual and I sure wouldn’t want to be blinded by my
vanity.

Question 1

Where can i find a place in san bruno ca or near the bay area that does permanent eyelash curling?

ive been looking online but i cant find any place im tired of curling my eyelashes so somebody told me that now you permanently curl your eyelashes it lasts about two to three months…please help!!!!

Best Answer – Chosen by Voters

Go To www. SimplePerm . com. You can find someone by your zip code!

Source(s):

Referred to the site by my technician after I moved.

Question 2

Is permanent eyelash curling safe for the eyes? don’t the curling chemicals somehow damage the eyes?

Best Answer – Chosen by Asker

I think it’s completely safe. I’ve had the process done several times. I do, however, want to stress that it really isn’t all that “permanent”. Actually, it doesn’t last very long and I’ve gone back to using the old fashioned eyelash curler.

If you decide to go with the chemical curling process, just be sure to have it done by a reputable aesthetician who is well-experienced in performing this service. ASK lots of questions, specifically, how often they do chemical eyelash curling. Needless to say, there are several unscrupulous people out there, so PLEASE be careful.

In my case eyelash curler does not work.I have heard about the permanent eylash curl which stays for 6 months.

Have anyone tried this permanent curl?

Best Answer – Chosen by Voters

i’ve never tried it myself but someone i know unfortunately did. at first the eyelashes were too curled, she looked like Daisy Duck, then the result was ok for 4 months or so, and then her eyelashes started falling off. i’d strongly advise against it.

for day time yes you can curl them, and use a curling mascara, these work and when curled they look longer coz they are on end!!!

the best option, i think, would be to get ur eyelashes permed!! i got this done it lasted 6 wees and looked amazing! it taks an hour and is relaxing u lie bk in a chair while a PROFESSIONAL puts a rod over ur eyelashes and a perming solution, the results after are amazing i couldnt believeit, it made my eyelashes look so much longer.

im aware this could be expensive, around £30, but i went to my local college where there are training beauty therapists and got it done for £15!! very worth it!!

the teacher supervised so all very safe
