How can I grow back my eyelashes after eyelash curler accident?

My eyelash curler pulled out a clump of lashes in the outer corner of my left eye. How can I help my lashes grow back sooner? I’m 32 and I can’t spare any lashes! ;-)

put vaseline over night, and it helps

Question 2

How can I prevent my eyelashes from crimping when I use an eyelash curler?

I always use my Kevin Acouin eyelash curler and some times my eyelashes on the outer corners end up with an annoying crimping look. What am I doing wrong?

make sure you go all the way down to the root of the eyelash and squeeze gently for 3-5 seconds, then take it to the middle and repeat, then to the ends and repeat.

Question 3

Do they make an eyelash curler for just a few lashes?

I was wondering if anyone ever heard of an eyelash curler that would just curl a few lashes at a time? I have one or two lashes that on occasion will grow bone straight, and they are usually on the inside corner, and my eyes are kinda “Asian” like, so regular curlers aren’t wide enough.

shu uemura makes mini eyelash curlers
they are like a centimeter and a half long in width

there are also smaller curlers (though i am unaware of the brand names) that are generally used for curling false eyelashes in the asian market.

Question 4

never put on Mascara with out using my Eyelash Curler, it is THE most important process for my “no see em lashes” to look long and beautiful.

Ok, I will try to explain to you how I use an Eyelash Curler so that you too can have long beautiful eyelashes. First step is… after you have put on your face makeup, make sure that there is no residue left on your lashes. I use my thumb and first finger to gently wipe any residue of powder off my lashes. Second step…Take your lash curler and open it using your thumb and third finger, the curve of the curler should be facing out. Third step…..Open the curler and place your lashes into the opening and gently squeeze it shut, holding for 15-30 seconds. You want the curler to be as close to your eyelid as possible, but not so close that your eyelid is in the curler! OUCH!! Fourth step….Unsqueeze and remove curler. Apply your first coat of Great Lash Mascara, using a safety pin or eyelash separator to separate your eyelashes if they become clumped! repeat with other eye. Let dry for at least 5-10 minutes. I feed the animals or do other morning chores while I’m waiting.

Without curlingThe picture shown is eyelashes after the first coat of mascara. On this model she did not curl her eyelashes before the first coat. I ALWAYS curl before the first coat and ALWAYS curl before the second coat.

•3
With curlingAfter your first coat has dried. Curl again holding for 15 seconds or so. At this point remove the curler gently, it will stick a little because of the mascara. No! it will not pull out your lashes, so don’t worry. I have been doing this for all the years I have used mascara and I have never lost any eyelashes! and I’m old!

Hairspray. Works like a charm.

This is what I do:
1. invest in a decent eyelash curler: I actually like the LaCross brand at drugstores over department store brands( I have yet to find an expensive one that works better)
2. Curl your lashes close to their roots, but be careful to not pinch your eyelid. Hold for fifteen seconds to twenty seconds, depending on how stubborn your lashes are. You may even have to repeat this step if your lashes are really stubborn.
3. Put mascara on directly after curling. This acts as a “hairspray” for your eyelashes. Also, be sure to get waterproof mascara. I use Maybelline great lash waterproof and Diorshow waterproof.
4. On days that you can’t seem to get your eyelashes to curl, use a hairdryer to heat your eyelash curler for a little bit.

·         Answerer 3

Put Mascara on first then use eyelash curler.

·         Answerer 4

warm your curler with your blow dryer before curling.

Question 6

Help finding an eyelash curler?

I have eyelashes that connect at the corners and basically no natural curl. They’re long and sometimes after doing them with my curler which is hard for me to do and I’m not sure why I’ve ben curling my lashes for years (I use a mini Shu Uemura which is easier to use for getting all the lashes than larger ones) but the outer corner lashes flick out and attach to the bottom line and get stuck. I use oil to remove my eye makeup so I’m not sure if that makes it more slippery/uncurlable or the tool is hard to get in the corner and it hurts my eye…. Or am I being silly? My mom is not too much a help cuz she has fine hair which she whines about all the time and says all she has to do is push the lashes back with his fingers after applying the mascara.

I use waterproof mascaras too or my lashes will uncurl throughout the day! sometimes I Just go without mascara cuz of all this confusion on how to do it.

Are you sure you’re curling them right?
Try the Shiseido eyelash curler and the Shu Uemera mini lash curler.
Continue using the waterproof mascara which will hold the curl.

Question 7

What does the authentic Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler box and packaging look like?

I just purchased on eBay an eyelash curler that I thought was made by Shu Uemura, but the photo on the front of its box makes me think it’s a counterfeit. Although it works well enough, I can’t stand the thought of a having a knock-off masquerading as the real deal.

The text on the sides of the box look real, but the photo of the eyelash curler on the front of the box looks like a black-and-white photocopy of an actual photo of the Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler. The eyelash curler came in a simple clear wrap with 1 refill inside the box – no foam or box padding. The eyelash curler says “shu uemura” on the front, but it also has a small “W” in the lower right corner of that logo…kind of like a TM = trademark symbol. I’ve looked online, and I saw that the authentic version in another country had a “L”. Mine came from Asia.

Does your authentic Shu Uemura eyelash curler and its original packaging match the description here?

Question 8

Which mascara,and,eyelash curler do u recomend for a beginner?(me)?

  • i want to start using mascara now,ive tried some before, for fun, lolz, and i need a mascara that is easy to apply on the iner corners, also, and the middle and ends, also,a mascara that is not clumpy, also,an eyelash curler, because i want curled lashes with length, too.plz answer,

Best Answer – Chosen by Asker

lancome hypnose is hands down by far thee B3$T mascara ! you don’t even need an eyelash curler !!! every time i use it, i always get asked, are you wearing fake eyelashes? or oh my gosh your eyelashes are so long, like and curly ! if you want to buy this, go to sephora and i believe it sells for $25, a little pricey but it lasts for 2 to 3 months and doesn’t clump what so ever.

here is a tip for everyone: do not pump the eyelash brush, that is what causes clumping. if you must do something with the brush, twist it !!

Question 9

Drugstore brand eyelash curler vs. Shu Umera eyelash curler?

  • For now, I have always just picked up eyelash curlers from Target, Walgreens…any of those kinds of stores. I go to Sephora a lot though and people are always talking about how the Shu Umera eyelash curler is the best.So I was wondering if anyone has actually gone from drugstore curlers to the Shu Umera eyelash curler and noticed the big difference for themself?

I have super long eyelashes, but they are also SUPER straight, which makes it take forever to curl them without them falling right back straight before I can get my mascara on. I really wouldn’t take long to get ready in the mornings if it wasn’t for my lashes taking forever to curl! So, does the Shu Umera eyelash curler really work as great as they say?

Oh and if anyone knows about Sephora’s individual lash curler (the small one meant specifically for corners), how do you like that one?

Best Answer – Chosen by Asker

Get the Shu Uemura one. Shu Uemura curlers are the ones that are the standard for good curlers. And they aren’t expensive. So get it!
And I haven’t tried the individual one, but it’s only $5, so why not get it?

Question 10
