What halloween costume would use brown feather eyelashes?

Question
I have just acquired eight old dolls and I know nothing about them. Please
can you help me?
If you would like to see a photo of them please email me with the heading ‘
dolls photo’ and I would be very happy to send it to you.
Here goes;
The first one is a 12″ Eskimo doll. On it’s back it says Regal Made in
Canada. It seems to be completely made of vinyl and its eyes are painted
white with a black ‘ball’ type item in the corners making it look to one
side. It is fully clothed and has black short hair and it seems to be
undamaged. I don’t know how old this doll is or how much it is worth
The second one is a 12″ barbie-type doll. On it’s back it says Tina Cassini
Made in British Hong Kong. It seems to have a hard plastic body and legs
and a soft vinyl face and rubber arms. It has a red satin ‘Chinese’ type
dress, short white hair, and painted eyes which are also looking to one
side. It is wearing white pants and has no shoes and it seems to be
undamaged. I don’t know anything about this doll. Is it something to do
with the designer Olag Cassini? How old is it and is this doll worth
anything?
The third doll is a 11″ Indian doll. It has a brown hard plastic baby on
its back wrapped in what I think is white rabbit fur. It has a label tag
saying Hand Made Fait a la Main Canada BLM. It is all brown hard plastic
with working brown sleep eyes with plastic eyelashes and black plaited hair.
It is dressed in blue suede with brown leather with beads sewn on and it
also has an embroidered shawl over one arm. It has a beaded necklace and a
blue feather in its headdress. It has blue suede beaded moccasins and seems
to be complete and undamaged. I do not know how old this doll is or the
value.
The fourth one is a 12″ hard plastic doll in National costume. Its apron is
hand painted with flowers and has NICE on it. On the back it has the
letters MS in a Triangle and under that it says DEPOSEE. The doll is
wearing a straw hat and has black hair. It has working blue sleep eyes with
plastic eyelashes and has an oriental type black eyeliner line coming from
the outside edges. It has a bust which is covered with a scarf and it is
also wearing a red striped full skirt with a pair of white plastic shoes
underneath (no underwear). The apron is edged with lace and its straw hat
has flower-type pom-pom’s on it. It has a small bit of water damage on the
bottom of it’s skirt but I suppose this could be washed away with a damp
cloth or something. I know nothing about this one! How old, value,
anything!
The fifth one (The Pirate) is the one I need the MOST help with! I have
Never seen anything like this one! There are no markings and I do not know
what it is made from. It seems a lightweight material and looks like it has
been hand painted and varnished (I think). Is it Long John Silver without
the parrot? There seems no sign of anything ever being on his shoulder. He
is 8 and a half inches high with a red pirates hat with gold tassel detail,
a red and white striped jumper and navy cord trousers. It has a black scarf
and a black vinyl-type belt with a buckle. It has one black boot and one
black stump. It is beautifully hand painted with excellent detail on its
face with a beard and gold ear-rings and it has also has a black painted eye
patch. Its arms and legs seem to be wire which has been covered and covered
with cotton and his body is ? ……It’s body seems to be a similar type of
thing as the limbs, What is it? It’s hands feet and face are all the same
and are painted. Are they composition? How do you tell the difference
between composition, celluloid or could it be something else? Any idea on
age, value etc? I’d LOVE to hear your views on this one! This is a really
difficult one!
The sixth one is a 8″ hard plastic doll. It has working blue sleep eyes
with plastic eyelashes and wavy brown hair. It is dressed in a dusky pink
cord dress and bonnet tied with a blue ribbon under her neck. She is
wearing white ankle socks, white shoes, white knickers and a net petticoat.
Her dress is edged with a blue stitching detail across the bottom and around
her sweetheart neckline. On her back is ‘Made in Hong Kong’ in a circle
with the word ‘in’ in the middle. This doll seems undamaged and complete.
How old is she and what is her value?
The seventh one looks really old. It is a 8″ Welsh National Costume hard
plastic doll. Its head, arms and legs seem to be joined together by screws
into some sort of mechanism inside. It seems undamaged and complete except
one of the elastic bands which holds one of her plaits together has
perished, but her hair could easily be replaited and re-tied. She has
working blue sleep eyes and it looks like she never had any eyelashes. On
her back it says SAROLD. Her clothes are made from wool and she is wearing
the traditional black Welsh hat and shawl etc. She has painted black shoes
and has beautiful red painted lips. Her red wool skirt has a black and
white check pinny-type front and she looks complete and undamaged. How old
is she and her value?
The last one (eighth) is a tiny hard plastic doll which is in a type of
Matchbox. She is complete and her box says TINY TOTS from PEDIGREE. She
has such a cute face with blush cheeks and big blue eyes and brown curled
hair. She is sitting in her box with a pink dress on which has been tied
across the middle with the same fabric. The box is 8cm x 5cm x 3cm. Her
standing height is just under 3 and a half inches. The box has a slight
sticker damage to the front but other than that seems fine for its age. I
think I remember these dolls from the 70’s…am I right? Or is it later?
Anyway, I have no idea of its value. I have never seen these dolls in
matchboxes for years! Any information?
Thankyou for reading this LONG letter, like I said before I would be happy
to send you a copy of the dolls photo on request. ANY information at all
will be very gratefully received as I would love to know anything about
these dolls…especially the ages, value and other information if possible.
Thanks and Take Care!

I am going to a costume party tonight ! How do I apply my fake eyelashes correctly? Do I put on my eyeliner and eyeshadow first, or after. And what about mascara? should I put some on my own eyelashes first, or after or not at all?

put the lashed on FIRST before anything… you need to start fresh cause if you have anything on your eyes to begin with they wont stick as well.. then apply our eyeshadow eyeliner and if you want a more dramatic look you can apply mascara on the lashes

Question 7
Never worn false eyelashes before & it’s part of my H’ween costume this year. Any suggestions for a newbie? I bought the lashes at a costume store — I am guessing I need to go buy eyelash glue?? Help, I have no clue!
Best Answer – Chosen by Voters
Yes you do need to go buy eyelash glue. I recommend buying DUO. It’s the absolute best, it’s pretty inexpensive, and you can get it at drugstores (like CVS). I wear false eyelashes almost everyday and here is how to apply them: – get a toothpick and put just a little bit of glue on the tip of it and apply the glue on to the lashes with the toothpick – let the glue dry for about 15 seconds (or until a bit tacky) so that when you first apply them they don’t slide all over the place – take the strip of eyelashes and sort of round it with fingers from both hands (to match the shape of your eye) and put them as close to the lash line without actually putting them onto your own lashes – wait a few seconds and put a sweep of mascara on to blend your own lashes with the false lashes
Question 8
For Halloween, what would be a cool costume with these eyelashes? http://cgi.ebay.com.sg/Wet-n-Wild-Fantas… I have the blue ones called Swank. I was thinking maybe a fortune teller or a mermaid but I don’t really know what to use for those coustumes. So any ideas? Thanks

Question 9
How do you make your natural eyelashes long and thick? I am going to my Marylin Monroe for Halloween and I want to make my natural eyelashes long and thick for the costume. I do not want to wear false eyelashes, so, any tips? Best Answer – Chosen by Voters Use volumizing + lenghtening black mascara. You can find this in any drugstore or beauty supply store. Apply the mascara like this: 1. Curl your eyelashes with a curler first (as to avoid breakage later) 2. Then coat the top of the upper lashes (try to start from the roots and then press the wand down until the tip to get all the lashes) 3. Now coat underneath the upper lashes (again, try to apply a lot of mascara without clumping) 4. Your lashes should now be coated thickly in mascara and perhaps even a little clumped. This is fine. Run the wand along the bottom of your upper lashes while looking up, using quick flicking strokes to “comb” the lashes with the wand and get all the clumps out 5. Run the wand underneath the upper lashes again, this time horizontally to separate the lashes 6. Curl your eyelashes again, except don’t press too hard or you will leave a visible crease (try to squeeze as close to the roots and as gently as you can) 7. Coat the bottom lashes with mascara as best as you can holding your wand horizontally 8. Now hold the wand vertically and run it across your bottom lashes (moving your hand from side to side) Hopefully if you’ve done it correctly, your lashes should look very dramatic. Don’t worry about small clumps, they will make your eyelashes look fuller and more dramatic (since it’s Halloween). However, if you have large clumps, try using the wand (running it horizontally from side to side) to get it out. Try not to use your fingers because that will smudge the mascara and may clump lashes further.
Question 10
False eyelashes! i want to use them for a costume but im scared..? that they will get glued to my eyelashes and then pull them out whe n i try to get them off or smthng.. help! i am so scared! how do i avoid that?
Best Answer – Chosen by Asker
You very carefully, and with very little glue, place them above your lashes where your liner goes, avoiding your lashes. Take your time, and you will be fine.
