How do I remove false eyelash ADHESIVE from my eyelids?

Question

So here’s my problem.  I just bought some fake eyelashes.  I
tried putting them on last night and it went well.  They looked good
and they stayed on for the few minutes that I left them on.
But I didn’t have to use much glue at all.  Hardly any, in fact.  And I’m wondering how much glue should actually be used?

Answer

I think the general idea is a thin line of the adhesive.
I used to have an adhesive that you had to let get tacky for a bit, but
could never get the hang of it to correctly put on the lash.  Last week, I
bought a different brand of adhesive- you put it on the lash edge (again,
you only need a thin bit of the stuff), but put on the lash right away and
press down with something (I carefully sued a toothpick).

that adhesive lasted from about 1 pm when I put it on till about three in
the morning when I finally went to sleep and removed it (yes, it- it was
part of a Clockwork Orange Halloween deal).  IIRC, it was about $2.50 for
the tube at CVS, and is Ardell’s Lash Grip Eyelash Adhesive.  I definitely
recommend.

Question 1

How do I remove false eyelash ADHESIVE from my eyelids?

I have it on both my eyelids from corner to corner and I can’t seem to get it off! Please help! Water hasn’t worked and neither has eye makeup remover. It’s colored black from eyeliner and really noticeable.

Try applying face moisturizer over the area the adhesive is stuck on with a q-tip. I find lotion works better in removing most makeup products rather than liquid removers.

P.S. You may also want to try putting a warm wash cloth over your eyes, too loosen the adhesive up!

Question 2

Help with removing difficult eyelash glue!?

I have Ardell LashTite Adhesive stuck on a patch of my eyelashes. It has been there for a few weeks now. I’ve used soap, water, makeup remover, oil, petroleum jelly, facial toner, anything i could think of to take it off and nothing has worked. Does anyone have any advice??

try seperating the lashes one by one with a needle ad plucking it out piece by piece be very careful

Question 3

Help me decide: false lashes or waterproof mascara for a week?

I’m going on a trip to Europe with my school in March, and was thinking about bringing waterproof mascara for the plane and for the week… But I last time I used waterproof mascara in Mexico (for a week), my lashes got sooo dry, and it always flaked and was hard to remove, which resulted in me being too hard on my eyes. (And yes, I did use an oil based remover!) I really don’t want to be walking around everywhere trying to enjoy myself when my makeup is driving me crazy!

Anyways, I’ve noticed that some people use false lashes more than once (like, on an everyday bases) instead of mascara, and I thought that it might be better to use false lashes on the plane (and for that week) instead of waterproof mascara.
(Even if I choose false lashes, I probably will end up bringing regular mascara as well…)

Oh! And if I bring a small eyelash adhesive glue in my carry-on, do you think they would take it away?

Any thoughts or suggestions would be nice.

water proof mascera is torture for the lashes, i accidentally bought it once when i overlooked the package. when i used it for about a week i noticed my normally long, full lashes were falling out(3 to five at a time) and the roots were getting sore.

false lashes are good for special occasions, i have never met anyone personally that used them on a daily basis. if you are up for the hassle, go for it.

my best advice however is regular mascara!

and no, they will not take away the adhesive glue due, the tubes are tiny! so dont worry about that

Get your eyelashes tinted a blue/black so all you would have to do is curl them =) you could go to a salon or spa and the price is usually around 10 depending on the place.

Question 5

How can you remove my make-up without removing my fake eyelashes?

I have adhesive that allows my fake individual eyelashes to stay on my eyes for a couple of weeks, but I wear make-up every day and I remove my make-up at the end of the day. How can I remove my make-up without risking removing my fake eyelashes? I normally use oil-based eye make-up remover, but I know this will cause the adhesive to dissolve, so I would have to use an alternative.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Maybe just use wipes? I’m not certain though. Sorry
