Eyelash tinting?

Question 1 : Eyelash tinting?
I’d like to try tinting my eyelashes at home. Of course, I plan
to use only vegetable dye.
Has anyone tried this themselves? Which products last the longest?
I have access to Sally’s, PBS and the general drugstore/beauty
stores.
Answer : I strongly advise against dying your eyelashes.
I hope that if you decide to dye your eyelashes, you do it professionally ( is
it illegal?) I read in an Old issue of Vogue about how you could go blind by
doing it wrong. I’m not sure if veg. dye is harmful for your eyes, but if you
decide to go through with it at home, at least get someone to supervise/help
you along the process. Good luck with whatever your choice is.
Question 2 : I want to have the basic ingredients of tinting products?
the chemical ingredients
the basic chemistry affecting the shelf life if Refectocil products
the basic chemistry of mixing tinting products
the effect of tint on eyelashes
tests to be carried out prior to eyelash/eyebrow tinting
Best Answer
hi there. i wouldnt recommend making your own tint, due to it being somewhere that can blind you… wouldnt advise it. i sujest buyng the item from sallys (beauty wholesaler) you should have a test done 24-48hours before tinting this can be placed behind the ears or the crease of your arm.effect on tinting lashes is simple it opens the cortex up in the hair follicle and dyes in the side. removing pigmentation/ dying the colour you want. a bit like dyig your hair. are you studying beauty therapy by any chance of so go to www.examtec.com may be helpful to you
Question 3: Eyelash tinting for natural look?
I want to get my eyelashes tinted because they are very blonde. However i am really looking for a more natural look rather than it looking like i am wearing mascara all the time. Will this make it look like my eyelashes are a natural brown or will it look like i am wearing mascara? Also if my eyes are sensitive to some products is this procedure ok to do? Thanks.
Best Answer
depends on what level brown u are considering, your skin tone also will play a factor….stick to a light to med. brown.
Question 4 : What are the product ingredients for eyelash and eyebrow tints?
Best Answer
the brand that i use is a vegetable based dye, it still has a small amount of peroxide in the activator but no where near as much as hair dye, but you should not attempt it yourself, find a good beauty therapist and let them do it! the result will be much better and safer than if you did it yourself at home.
Question 5 : I have an allergy to eyelash glues, which causes itchy eyes, soreness and swelling. Whats the cause?
I have highlights and perming with no reactions and am wondering why it is just they eye area that is giving me these
problems. I am training on a beauty therapy course and I had a reaction to the eye tinting product as well?
Best Answer
It could be the latex in the glue, as quite a few people are sensitive to latex. See your doctor and get it checked out. Also, you are putting things near your eyes, which is dangerous anyway as it is such a sensitive area so this could be why you have also reacted to the eye tinting product.
Question 6 : Hi, does anyone know if the following beauty products can be carried on a flight in your main luggage…?
Hi, can the following beauty products be taken on a flight in your main luggage?……
false nail resin, false nail resin activator (obviously kept separate to the resin), eyelash/brow tint and tint developer (kept separate), eyelash perming kit? I had a quick look on a flight website and one of the prohibited items was peroxide which is in the tint developer. Surely, people must take things like that in their case or am I wrong? Any advice appreciated. Many thanks

Not all peroxide (H2O2) is created equal…well it is, but the stuff you are carrying is diluted to 3% . (I assume you are talking about the stuff in the brown bottle?) The peroxide that is banned from air travel is industrial peroxide, which is 100% pure and highly corrosive.
Double check with the airlines (by calling them) and you will find out for sure.
Question 7 : Any way to make eyelashes darker without damaging them, or using mascara?
any way to make eyelashes darker without damaging them, or using mascara?
i’ve been using mascara for two years, my eyelashes use to be really nice and long, and darker.
now they are lighter, not even visable without mascara.
what is something i can do to fix them, without damaging them, like tinting, and i tried vaseline but it doesn’t work that well.
anny products out there?

Apply castor oil on them for long and thick lashes before sleeping at night. never use vaseline on them. and try not to rub your eyes severely too much. Use kohl, as it makes the corners of the eyes look dark and highlights the lashes.
Good luck!
Question 8 : Need your help/advice about these products!?
Are these products good? (i kNOW its alot, but i wanna know!)
Benefit: Posietint, some-kinda-gorgoues, creasless cream shadow/liner
high beam, badgal lash
Smashbox: Photo finish foundation primer, eyeshadow trios
Stila: eyeshadow in kitten, convertible color, tinted moisturizer
shu uemura: eyelash curler
Urban decay: Primer potion
Mac: Shadows (pink venus, woodwinked, antiqu gold) Paint pots(soft ochre) Pigments(melon)
Wet’n'wild: Mega glo
Elf products?
Answer : well I can’t really give you advice for all of them (just the ones I’ve used). I definitely recommend the Benefit high beam. Its really pretty for highlighting the face without looking too shimmery. Smashbox photo finish is awesome. It smooths out the skin really well and makes foundation go on smoothly. I love Mac’s eyeshadows. The colors are really nice and also not too shimmery. Thats all i’ve used. But definitely go with the Benefit high beam – I LOVE THAT PRODUCT.

Aerosol hairspray, moisturizer, sunscreen, lip gloss, etc. can be brought on as a carry-on (ONLY IF THEY ARE NON-FLAMMABLE, OTHERWISE, GET IT CHECKED IN), but it must be 3 oz. or smaller. Check the bottle to see if it’s 3 oz. or less. If it’s bigger than 3 oz., you can get it checked in. Otherwise, once you’re at the scanner (x-ray thing) they will throw it away/take it from you. It’s really sad. I had to give up 3 Bath & Body Works lotions. ):
AND YES, you can bring your eyelash curler, lol
Question 10 : Black hair dye…its still on my skin!!?
