Permanent eyelashes transplant

I\’ve had them done many times. They use a special glue and carefully put on each lash with a tweezer. While the extensions look beautiful and completely natural, there are many downsides — which is why I stopped getting them done:
1)They don\’t last very long at all. About two weeks.
2)They\’re expensive because you need constant refills. The first time is $150.00-$250.00, and the refills are $50.00-$100.00. Sometimes after a few weeks I had to get them done all over again (for the first time price) because so many fell out.
3)You can\’t sleep on your stomach or touch or wash your eyes.
4)Eventually they started to damage my natural lashes. My eyes were always itchy and when I finally took the extensions out the lashes left were much sparser than what I originally had. They grew back eventually, but I wonder if they would have had I continued for any longer.

I think the lashes are best for a one time event, not regular usage. It\’s a shame because they are incredibly beautiful and natural looking.

Answer 1

Thanks a lot for your post .it\’s very informative!

It seems that lash extensions can cause the same damage that hair extensions! Hair extensions have left some of my friends with bald spots and broken hair.

I would definitely consider lash extensions for a one time event like you said. They still seem like a better alternative to false lashes.

Answer 2

I think it\’s really better for someone with really thin or nonexistent
lashes – I\’ve met the doctor and discussed it with him – the transplanted
hair from the head is not like eyelash hair in that it is programmed to
grow to a much longer length and doesn\’t have the same texture. So you
have to trim your eyelashes as they grow out and they will not \’curve\’ on
their own they must be directed with an eyelash curler.

Everything\’s a tradeoff
Too bad because I am really liking having long full eye lashes but I know I cannot keep getting the extensions forever. I think if they used nostril hairs they would have a sturdier texture like eyelashes.

Answer 4

I wonder wher you buy the glue? Would you happen to know?

Answer 5

I\’ve never heard of eyelash extensions. Do they use a curling perm on the
lash once they extensions are in? I\’m interesting on knowing about the
permanent eyelashes too, wow, sounds great.
My natural eyelashes have no curl in them. The extension curl in the ends. You can read about them on this website and see pictures also. http://www.xtremelashes.com/?gclid=CNzopNba0YUCFUQ2GAodrzxl2g

I just got temporary eyelash extensions and I really like them and it
saves time in the am. I never wore eyemakeup before, never really mastered
the art plus the mascara did not make much of a difference on my skimpy
lashes but now i actually have full looking long lashes and I wish they would
last forever. I can get a refill in about a month just like nails but I will
be addicted for life and I will end up with no lashes. I remember someone mentioned a surgeon who does permanent eyelash and eyebrow transplants on the east coast. I hope someone can please post his name again. And if you know of someone on the west coast in California that would be great. Thanks

I think you are being too quick to judge.. first of all, all 9 year olds are good looking..they are little kids. she hasnt had to time get uglier yet. you are at the awkward middle stage… 13 is when you transitioning from a kid to an adult, its often a very awkward unflattering age. dont sweat it right now. even if your friends are earlier bloomers that doesnt mean you are doomed to be ugly just because you dont feel like you compare to them right now. I felt the same way at your age and everyone else seemed so much prettier, but then after a few years I caught up and was just as pretty if not prettier. at 13 you really shouldnt be worrying about this that much. just relax…

Question

I have just acquired eight old dolls and I know nothing about them. Please
can you help me?

If you would like to see a photo of them please email me with the heading ‘
dolls photo’ and I would be very happy to send it to you.

Here goes;

The first one is a 12″ Eskimo doll. On it’s back it says Regal Made in
Canada. It seems to be completely made of vinyl and its eyes are painted
white with a black ‘ball’ type item in the corners making it look to one
side. It is fully clothed and has black short hair and it seems to be
undamaged. I don’t know how old this doll is or how much it is worth

The second one is a 12″ barbie-type doll. On it’s back it says Tina Cassini
Made in British Hong Kong. It seems to have a hard plastic body and legs
and a soft vinyl face and rubber arms. It has a red satin ‘Chinese’ type
dress, short white hair, and painted eyes which are also looking to one
side. It is wearing white pants and has no shoes and it seems to be
undamaged. I don’t know anything about this doll. Is it something to do
with the designer Olag Cassini? How old is it and is this doll worth
anything?

The third doll is a 11″ Indian doll. It has a brown hard plastic baby on
its back wrapped in what I think is white rabbit fur. It has a label tag
saying Hand Made Fait a la Main Canada BLM. It is all brown hard plastic
with working brown sleep eyes with plastic eyelashes and black plaited hair.
It is dressed in blue suede with brown leather with beads sewn on and it
also has an embroidered shawl over one arm. It has a beaded necklace and a
blue feather in its headdress. It has blue suede beaded moccasins and seems
to be complete and undamaged. I do not know how old this doll is or the
value.

The fourth one is a 12″ hard plastic doll in National costume. Its apron is
hand painted with flowers and has NICE on it. On the back it has the
letters MS in a Triangle and under that it says DEPOSEE. The doll is
wearing a straw hat and has black hair. It has working blue sleep eyes with
plastic eyelashes and has an oriental type black eyeliner line coming from
the outside edges. It has a bust which is covered with a scarf and it is
also wearing a red striped full skirt with a pair of white plastic shoes
underneath (no underwear). The apron is edged with lace and its straw hat
has flower-type pom-pom’s on it. It has a small bit of water damage on the
bottom of it’s skirt but I suppose this could be washed away with a damp
cloth or something. I know nothing about this one! How old, value,
anything!

The fifth one (The Pirate) is the one I need the MOST help with! I have
Never seen anything like this one! There are no markings and I do not know
what it is made from. It seems a lightweight material and looks like it has
been hand painted and varnished (I think). Is it Long John Silver without
the parrot? There seems no sign of anything ever being on his shoulder. He
is 8 and a half inches high with a red pirates hat with gold tassel detail,
a red and white striped jumper and navy cord trousers. It has a black scarf
and a black vinyl-type belt with a buckle. It has one black boot and one
black stump. It is beautifully hand painted with excellent detail on its
face with a beard and gold ear-rings and it has also has a black painted eye
patch. Its arms and legs seem to be wire which has been covered and covered
with cotton and his body is ? ……It’s body seems to be a similar type of
thing as the limbs, What is it? It’s hands feet and face are all the same
and are painted. Are they composition? How do you tell the difference
between composition, celluloid or could it be something else? Any idea on
age, value etc? I’d LOVE to hear your views on this one! This is a really
difficult one!

The sixth one is a 8″ hard plastic doll. It has working blue sleep eyes
with plastic eyelashes and wavy brown hair. It is dressed in a dusky pink
cord dress and bonnet tied with a blue ribbon under her neck. She is
wearing white ankle socks, white shoes, white knickers and a net petticoat.
Her dress is edged with a blue stitching detail across the bottom and around
her sweetheart neckline. On her back is ‘Made in Hong Kong’ in a circle
with the word ‘in’ in the middle. This doll seems undamaged and complete.
How old is she and what is her value?

The seventh one looks really old. It is a 8″ Welsh National Costume hard
plastic doll. Its head, arms and legs seem to be joined together by screws
into some sort of mechanism inside. It seems undamaged and complete except
one of the elastic bands which holds one of her plaits together has
perished, but her hair could easily be replaited and re-tied. She has
working blue sleep eyes and it looks like she never had any eyelashes. On
her back it says SAROLD. Her clothes are made from wool and she is wearing
the traditional black Welsh hat and shawl etc. She has painted black shoes
and has beautiful red painted lips. Her red wool skirt has a black and
white check pinny-type front and she looks complete and undamaged. How old
is she and her value?

The last one (eighth) is a tiny hard plastic doll which is in a type of
Matchbox. She is complete and her box says TINY TOTS from PEDIGREE. She
has such a cute face with blush cheeks and big blue eyes and brown curled
hair. She is sitting in her box with a pink dress on which has been tied
across the middle with the same fabric. The box is 8cm x 5cm x 3cm. Her
standing height is just under 3 and a half inches. The box has a slight
sticker damage to the front but other than that seems fine for its age. I
think I remember these dolls from the 70’s…am I right? Or is it later?
Anyway, I have no idea of its value. I have never seen these dolls in
matchboxes for years! Any information?

Thankyou for reading this LONG letter, like I said before I would be happy
to send you a copy of the dolls photo on request. ANY information at all
will be very gratefully received as I would love to know anything about
these dolls…especially the ages, value and other information if possible.
Thanks and Take Care!

The second one is a 12″ barbie-type doll. On it’s back it says Tina Cassini
Made in British Hong Kong. It seems to have a hard plastic body and legs
and a soft vinyl face and rubber arms. It has a red satin ‘Chinese’ type

What halloween costume would use brown feather eyelashes? I recently bought these big brown feather eyelashes from a vintage type store…and I want to use them in this year’s halloween costume, but i’m not sure what costume would require them. Any suggestions would be great. Someone said a flapper…kind of over that. All I have is a bird so far…haha or Edie Sedgwick? She was pretty ferosh.

What would you call my costume for halloween, a burgundy wig, fake eyelashes & wearing all black? If I’m dressed like that and someone asks me “what I am?” what can I tell them lol? Oh and the wig is real long and straight with bangs. We have to dress up for work and I dont want to buy a costume, but I have the above stuff in my house now.

Best Answer

Question 7

Never worn false eyelashes before & it’s part of my H’ween costume this year. Any suggestions for a newbie? I bought the lashes at a costume store — I am guessing I need to go buy eyelash glue?? Help, I have no clue!

Best Answer – Chosen by Voters

Yes you do need to go buy eyelash glue. I recommend buying DUO. It’s the absolute best, it’s pretty inexpensive, and you can get it at drugstores (like CVS). I wear false eyelashes almost everyday and here is how to apply them: – get a toothpick and put just a little bit of glue on the tip of it and apply the glue on to the lashes with the toothpick – let the glue dry for about 15 seconds (or until a bit tacky) so that when you first apply them they don’t slide all over the place – take the strip of eyelashes and sort of round it with fingers from both hands (to match the shape of your eye) and put them as close to the lash line without actually putting them onto your own lashes – wait a few seconds and put a sweep of mascara on to blend your own lashes with the false lashes

Question 8

For Halloween, what would be a cool costume with these eyelashes? http://cgi.ebay.com.sg/Wet-n-Wild-Fantas… I have the blue ones called Swank. I was thinking maybe a fortune teller or a mermaid but I don’t really know what to use for those coustumes. So any ideas? Thanks

Question 9

How do you make your natural eyelashes long and thick? I am going to my Marylin Monroe for Halloween and I want to make my natural eyelashes long and thick for the costume. I do not want to wear false eyelashes, so, any tips? Best Answer – Chosen by Voters Use volumizing + lenghtening black mascara. You can find this in any drugstore or beauty supply store. Apply the mascara like this: 1. Curl your eyelashes with a curler first (as to avoid breakage later) 2. Then coat the top of the upper lashes (try to start from the roots and then press the wand down until the tip to get all the lashes) 3. Now coat underneath the upper lashes (again, try to apply a lot of mascara without clumping) 4. Your lashes should now be coated thickly in mascara and perhaps even a little clumped. This is fine. Run the wand along the bottom of your upper lashes while looking up, using quick flicking strokes to “comb” the lashes with the wand and get all the clumps out 5. Run the wand underneath the upper lashes again, this time horizontally to separate the lashes 6. Curl your eyelashes again, except don’t press too hard or you will leave a visible crease (try to squeeze as close to the roots and as gently as you can) 7. Coat the bottom lashes with mascara as best as you can holding your wand horizontally 8. Now hold the wand vertically and run it across your bottom lashes (moving your hand from side to side) Hopefully if you’ve done it correctly, your lashes should look very dramatic. Don’t worry about small clumps, they will make your eyelashes look fuller and more dramatic (since it’s Halloween). However, if you have large clumps, try using the wand (running it horizontally from side to side) to get it out. Try not to use your fingers because that will smudge the mascara and may clump lashes further.

Hi, everyone,

My name is Ert and I’m new to this newsgroup. Recently, I’ve been reading
some reports about a product called Talika Lipocils and its ability to
regrow eyelashes. Could anyone give me any first hand accounts of eyelash
regrowth Talika?
Where can I get it? Can I purchase this product via the Internet?

Answer

From looking at their ad, I really doubt this product works very well. I will
bet you anything that putting minoxidil on your eyelashes will work much
better. Eyelashes are just hairs. The problems with growing eyelashes are the
same problems with growing scalp hair. Very often people use use hair regrowing
agents on their scalps experience an increase in eyelash growth as well, even
though they are not applying anything directly to their eyelashes.

As far as where to buy it, from a web search I see Saks Fifth Avenue is going
to sell it.

Yahoo Answer

Question 1

I accidently cut my eyelashes…Does Talika Lipocils work?

I accidently cut some of my eyelashes off with a bad eyelash curler. So, I purchased Talika Lipocils Eyelash Conditioning Gel with plant extracts. It was a bit expensive and I’d like to know has anyone used this before and did it work for you? And if it did how long was it before you could see any results?
Please answer in detail. I’m desperate. . .

Best Answer – Chosen by Asker

I have a solution which wont cost you anything
[unless you need some]
and you can take the expensive
product back and get your money back…

Simply apply vaseline onto them
It sounds stupid..
but it works

Source(s):

I now have long full eyelashes

Question 2

Which would help my eyelashes grow longer and thicker?

Talika LIPOCILS Eyelash Conditioning Gel
or
Mavala DoubleLash
or
Plain old school Vaseline

Has anyone ever tried any of these products? If so, please give me your opinions on them.

P.S I understand that I won’t get a dramatic difference in length and thickness but just a boost would help! I have asian eyes with eyelashes you could hardly see. I always put on fake eyelashes but I’m hoping one of these products would work.

Best Answer – Chosen by Asker

i didnt have a good experience with talika i dont recommend that ..
i never used mavala doublelash or vaseline either althoughh i heard vitamin e/emu oil helps or if youre going for a eyelash conditioner you can try lashmantra which is like a cheap eyelash serum ($48) thats gotten good reviews
reviews: http://www.lashmantra.com/Reviews.html
here’s a link to one person’s experience with lash mantra, she is also asian: http://www.vivawoman.net/2009/04/21/lashmantra-100-natural-eyelash-serum/
main page http://www.lashmantra.com/lashmantra.html
or if youre willing to pay the money theres neuLash http://www.neulash.com/
good luck and i hope you find something that works for you

Question 1

I recently had a make-up artist apply some individual false eyelashes (the kind
that have like four lashes to a clump) to the corners of my eyes–loved it!! I
want to do this for nights out, etc. but am having a hell of time doing it on
my own– are you supposed to get them to adhere to your lid, or lashes, or
what? Any tips/instructions would be majorly appreciated.

Answer

After lots of practice (and some failed attempts), I think that I’ve
finally gotten the hang of doing this, since we are expected to really
“doll up” for public appearances.

I usually squirt a bit of the lash glue (Duo is the best–I use it in the
black color that dries black) onto the plastic casing that houses the
lashes (in my case it is the pick case of the DuraLash lashes), and wait
thirty seconds or so for it to dry a bit. This prevents the glue from
being too “runny,” and thus making the lashes harder to adhere to your
lid.

I grasp the individual lash with a pair of Tweezermans (the easiest to
control, IMO), and then gently dip the nucleus of the lash into the glue.
I can apply the lash while still keeping my eye open, though some people
prefer to look down the lids with their eyes partially closed in order
to get closer to the lash tine. I don’t have a crease in my eyelids, so
it’s not a problem for me. Start by applying the first individual lash at
the center of your eye, working your way out. Individual lashes come in
varying lengths-I buy the medium and the short flare lashes-the mediums
going at the outer edge of my eyes, the shorter going toward the inner
part.

After applying the lash, make sure to let the glue dry (sometimes I fan
my eyelids to get the glue to dry faster), before opening your eyes
fully, or applying the next lash. If you don’t allow the glue to dry
properly, you will either end up with: a) lashes falling off, or b) your
eyelids sticking together because of the glue, and the lashes flipping
upwards.

Practice makes perfect. Also another note: be careful as you’re pulling
the lashes out of the case with your tweezers–if you pull too hard or at
the wrong angle, the lashes splay out in a way that makes them impossible
to return to their original shape, thus rendering them useless.

Yahoo Answer

Question 1

Can I use individual eyelash glue on strip false eyelashes?

Is it too strong? Could I maybe just use a bit?

Best Answer – Chosen by Asker

Yep, I do it all the time. Just remember once you apply the glue to the strip, let it get tacky for about 30 seconds before you put them on. They’re easier to apply that way. Also, I always keep the little tube of glue in my purse for the day with a cotton swab, so if my lashes lift at the corner, I can dab a little glue on it with the swab to re-stick it.

Question 2

What’s your favorite glue for individual eyelash application?

I use Ardell eyelashes (love ‘em) but I’m not fond of the Individual LashTite Adhesive glue. I let it dry for quite some time, but they just still easily come off. Something maybe you think is true and tested

I don’t mind paying more since these are my eyes. Also if it’s darker in tint that would be nice. I don’t want anything permanent or semi permanent, just something that will last through a night of dancing! Thanks so much in advance!

Best Answer – Chosen by Voters

Lashgrip!! WORKS BEST FOR ME! im a big fan of fake eyelashes!

Question 3

What’s the BEST glue for individual eyelash extensions?

I want your opinion on which product lasts the longest and possibly where I can purchase it. Thanks!

est Answer – Chosen by Asker

DUO (the BEST)

Question 5

Eyelash Application: Can I use the individual lash glue for the stips?

I have the both glues for the strips lashes and the individual, but I’m wondering if I can use the individual lash glue (w/ keeps lashes their for up to 2 wks) for the stip eyelashes? Wil this cause problems? Why?

yeah

Question 6

Can I use false eyelash glue to stick embellishments around my eyes?

I have eyelash glue and some small, flat plasticy hearts (about 2mm wide) which I want to stick around my eyes for st Paddys tonight (they’re green). Can I use this glue? The funny think is it came with some Individual eyelashes which I cant seem to be able to use because the glue is so weak. So If i have the glue remover can I use the glue to stick the embellisments?

Best Answer – Chosen by Voters

Absolutely!
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;…
Does my sis look plastic

Question 7

How do you put on individual eyelashes? It came with a glue but I can’t figure out how to apply them.?

Do I need special tools?
Do I have to put the glue on the lashes or on my natural lashes?

Best Answer – Chosen by Asker

First, you will need tweezers, lashes and glue.

Pluck the lashes from the tray and dip the tip in the glue (you might wanna use a small tray or a foil).

Lay it on top of your natural lash as close as possible.

Manufacturers will suggest 10-15 pcs for each eye but for a more natural look, use 6-8 at most so you wouldn’t look like a drag queen.

That should last for about 3-4 weeks depending on how you wear it.

Question 8

Where can I buy the glue to attach individual eyelashes?

Preferably pharmaceutical grade adhesive.

Best Answer – Chosen by Voters

Walgreens or sally beauty supply

Question 9

Can I use glue meant for individual lashes for the strip lashes?

you know the black glue in the small bottle made for individual eyelashes, can I use them on my strip pair of lashes as well? the little glues that come with it has finished and I want to re-apply them tonight!

Answer

yes, in the end they are all glue for lashes

Question 10

Fake eyelash glue?

I put on the individual eyelashes with the Andrea semi-permanent glue in clear. Now that it has dried, it left a white residue on my eye lids which is unattractive. How can I get this off without removing the eyelashes?

Best Answer – Chosen by Voters

I think you applied too much glue. But you could try putting some baby oil on a cotton bud and rub it off gently. Make sure you wipe the oil off otherwise it will make your eyes look greasy.

Eyelash dye? Is this a kit or in a wand format or what? Sounds very

Question 1

I have bought eyebrow and eyelash dye kit, is there anything i need to know ?

is there anything i need to know about applying it, any tips suggestions would be appreciated, as ive never done it before

Best Answer – Chosen by Voters

no not really…but why are you dying your eyebrows and eyelashes ??? mascara and eyebrow watchmacallit will take care of it and if ya mess up ya can take it o

.

Question 2

Eyebrow and eyelash dye?

Hi there,

I have strawberry blonde hair and white eyebrows and eyelashes,
I have been tinting them at home for years with either a brand called colorsport or a brand called dylash both available here in uk.

Thank God i’ve always been ok using the stuff, as has my sister (who is a natural brunette but for some weird reason has sandy blonde eyebrows!)
But lately i’ve read all this coverage about allergies to a chemical called parapheneledine (i probably spelt it wrong!) /ppd, i think it’s like a coal tar dye thats in majority of hair dyes and unfortunatly is in these two lash dyes. I’ve heard that someone can develop an alergy at any time even if they’ve used it before, and some allergies have been near fatal.
I wanted to know a safe brand of eyebrow and eyelash dye, http://www.eyestodyefor.co.uk/ I have heard of swiss-o-par which is a german produced brand has anyone used it? if anyone dyes their lashes/brows, what do you use? Am i just being paranoid about this hair dye allergy? Is it extremly rare?

Best Answer – Chosen by Voters

i hate it wen ppl say i have strawberry bonde hair
ur friggin ginger!
deal with it!
gingers are well cool aswell
dnt say strawberry blonde

Question 3

Eyelash and eyebrow tint solution?

Ive bought brown and black eyelash and eyebrow dye and now need the solution to go with it! I live in Greece and cant find the stuff anywhere so i found out on internet that its 3% peroxide so i bought a spray with 3% peroxide from the chemist. he said its used for wounds. Is this the right stuff? Its called Gerosept spray Hydrogen peroxide 3%. Is that ok to mix with my dye??

Best Answer – Chosen by Voters

No, its probably not the same, so for safety, i wouldnt use it.
You need to actually buy a 3% peroxide solution that has no other ingredients. Using things like peroxide for hair or other things containing the 3% peroxide could be dangerous.
It’s uaually available from Beauty Therapist’s wholesalers.

Eyebrow and eyelash tints can be done at home, but its always better to get it done in a salon. Its a safer environment where there’s less chance for things to go wrong, like tint allergies, or how the tint is applied as they are trained how to do it.
Tints for eyebrows and lashes should be mixed in a special glass dish with 1cm of the tint and 3 drop of the peroxide. And should only be mixed after all the perperation has been done,

Eyelashes: make sure theres no makeup on the eyes or lashes. put petroluim jelly on the whole upper lid, and down to the lash line (avoiding the lashes) and under the eye. Place a damp cut in half cotton pad on the petrolium jelly so the tint diesnt stain the skin. mix the tint the same as before and paint onto the lashes. (it’ll be so much easier if you get someone to do this for you. do it on both eyes then place another full damp cotton pad over each eye while they are closed. These stay on for 10 minutes then are wiped off.

For eyebrows, make sure they are free of makeup/dirt and apply petrolum jelly (vasiline) around the eyebrows (avouding the hair) and then mix the tint until it is a smooth paste, using a disposeable mascara want to go in the opposite direction of the hair growth, then remove with damp cotton pads, redo if its not dark enough. Then shape.

Question 4

If a salon says Eyelash & Eyebrow what does that mean? Also maintenance 3-6 weeks what does that mean?

I’m looking at hair salon service and under Eyelash Tint and Eyebrow Tint there something just called eyelash and eyebrow, does that mean they dye them?

Also what does maintenance mean? It says that for hair color and eyelash part

And what is Eyelash Tint and Eyebrow Tint

Best Answer – Chosen by Voters

Tinting is a process to dye your brows or eyelashes to make them looking darker.

Tinting the eyelashes or eyebrows is a quick and easy solution for those who depend on mascara to darken your lashes or brows. Tinting is perfect for men and women with blond, reddish, or light brown hair who want more clearly defined eyelashes. Tinting the eyelash or eyebrow hairs can dramatically enhance the look of the eye area.

Depending on your eye, skin and hair color they will choose color to enhance your brows. Eyebrow tinting will enhance the appearance of your eyes because of a more pronounced arch and cleaner, more defined shape. Brow tinting is for men and women who have too light or grey hair and for those who use eyebrow pencil.

*maintenance means how often you have to go back to get it re-done.

Questions 5

IS it safe to dye your eyelashes?

I have very, very blond eyelashes and eyebrows. I have considered getting my eyelashes dyed black. I’ve been told that it’s safe and that it lasts about two to three months.

Is it safe? Has anyone out there had any complications with getting their eyelashes dyed? Will I need to get my eyelashes dyed more frequently to prevent my blonde roots from showing through? How can I tell if the makeup artist is skilled and experienced at eyelash dying?

Best Answer – Chosen by Asker

It is technically called an eyelash/eyebrow TINT and is performed by an esthetician, with a state license. I have mine done by my sister who is an esthecian that waxes my eyebrows.

I would ask your friends for referrals. Or if you get your eyebrows waxed somewhere, ask them. In any case, the process is totally safe. I would book the appointment at a repuitable salon and have no worries!

This is absolutely crazy that people claim this is so dangerous! If it were dangerous, no salon would offer it!!

Question 6

Is it possible to dye your eyelashes or eyebrows? Or are there any other options for darkening them?

My eyebrows and eyelashes are really light, some parts are so light there aren’t visible.

Yes you can go to a beauty salon and get lashes and brows tinted. It lasts for a couple of weeks. I think it gives a much nicer effect than mascara. Stings a little though!

Question

Ok, I’ve had it. I have an eyelash curler, and I have eyelashes, so I
should be able to do some eyelash curling, yes? <sigh>. I see no
appreciable difference after curling my lashes, though. It’s so sad. I
have tried heating the pads with a blow drying first, and that didn’t
really help – I got a very small amount of curl that lasted a minute,
maybe, even though I put mascara on right away. I’ve even tried to follow
the curling with a coat of that special curling mascara, to no avail. The
curler I have is a plastic one, aqua and purple, which I bought from the
Douglas Parfumerie on the recommendation of the women working there who
said they all used it and it was great. Do some people have non-curling
lashes or something, or do I have the wrong tool?

Answer 1

Hillary, get either the Shiseido or
Shu Umera curler. I had tried every
other curler, & like you, nothing
worked. The Shiseido works like
magic. No heat needed.

Answer 2

I agree with Esther. I have the Shisheido and it gets closer to the base of
your lashes and gets *all* of your lashes in one fell swoop. It has a firmer
pad on the bottom than I’ve seen on metal ones like Maybelline or Revlon. I
tried an old Revlon one the other day and it did nothing!
The Shisheido is really the best investment I’ve made because I would curl my
eyelashes if it was the only makeup thing I could do.

Yahoo Answer

Question 1

Electric eyelash curler? im asian so i have monolids, would it work?

okay so would the electric eyelash curler be more effective them a regular curlers, but when i use the regular curlers, its not too good, its curled for like 7 minutes then goes back straight

Best Answer

Don’t use eyelash curlers because they are not good for you. I would buy mascara that might help you with this problem.

Question2

Metal eyelash curlers vs. heated electric ones?

K so I brought an electric Remington one, and so far it seems to do next to nothing – it even only seems to heat up a little bit.
So I am buying one of those metal/manual ones with the handles.

Which is better? Pros and cons? and any tips?

Best Answer – Chosen by Voters

I tried a heated one, and it did NOTHING for me. i have better results from the metal one (which isnt too stellar). You could perm your eyelashes if you want (dangerous tho i think)

Question 3

Are heated eyelash curlers effective?

Are heated (electric) eyelash curlers effective?
And if so, where are good stores to buy them in? (ie. faceshop, Sephora, etc). Lastly, what is the average price?

Thank you, answers much appreciated

Best Answer – Chosen by Asker

they can run anywhere from 3 to 15 dollars depending on the brand. Ive tried both types and my first try wasnt succesful it was a little wand it did nothing for my lashes

http://www.beautyfeast.com/img1/Heated-M…

and then i tried this kind of heated curler and it worked miracles my eyelashes stayed curled

http://gadgetchick.com/wp-content/T9CQvv…

you can find them at ulta stores, cvs pharmacy, and maybe walgreens.

Question 4

Can curling your lashes with a electric curler be bad for them ?

just wondering if doing that causes the same kind of damage like when you curl your normal hair. can it make eyelashes break or fall off ?

Best Answer – Chosen by Voters

It’s fine if you only do it occasionally but if it’s a regular thing then yes, it causes the same kind of heat damage as styling your hair
