Do hot eyelash curlers or eyelash curlers in general really make your eyelashes fall out?

Question 1

Do hot eyelash curlers or eyelash curlers in general really make your eyelashes fall out?

No, it’s not that bad for your eyelashes if you MAKE SURE you curl your lashes BEFORE you put your mascara on. :) Maybe it’s time for you to get a new eyelash curler, there’s one that Target sells for about 8 dollars that works really awesome. It’s the Sonya Kashuk(sp?) brand. Or you can get the Shu Umera curler for triple the price. Whatever curler you get make sure the cushion thing between the curler is rounded, not dented in, for some reason, the rounded ones work better.
heat your lash curler with the blowdryer, make sure you’re NOT heating the side that directly touches your eye, you might burn your eyelid. also, after you blowdry it, touch it with your fingers to make sure it’s not too hot.
After you curl your eyelashes, you might wanna consider putting a dab of vaseline on your lashes, it makes your eyelashes very pretty, really shimmery!
good luck, hope that helps!

Don’t use eyelash curlers because they are not good for you. I would buy mascara that might help you with this problem.

i read that a lot of people heat up their eye lash curler with a blow dryer, and i guess it’s safe.
however you can buy heated eye lash curlers that have a pre-set temperature so that you don’t have to worry about getting it TOO hot.

here’s some more information.

Question 6

Best, cheap, heated eyelash curler?

I already do the blowdryer or hot water on the regular curler, and they curl so I dont have a problem with that. I just want something easier because I’m usually in a hurry. I’m not looking to buy online btw.

Question 8

My eyelashes naturally curve straight DOWN, and nothing works when trying to get them to curl up?

  • I’ve tried the strongest mascara’s, and of course eye lash curlers.

Is there any way to get my annoying eyelashes to curl up for once? I don’t care what it takes. Is there a such thing as a “hot eye lash curler”?

Also, don’t eyelash curlers only work for a short period of time?

Question 9

Best mascara that HOLDS a curl?

i have the worlds’ straightest lashes.
i curl my lashes with a eyelash curler every day religiously, but i can’t find a mascara (since maybelline wonder curl) that will HOLD the curl that i’ve made with the curler. after within 5 seconds of applying, my lashes start to straighten out again and point in weird directions. if you know what i mean, and have found a solution to the problem, please share!!
i know a should get a hot curler but…..i just haven’t had the time to yet.

You could try by putting the mascara on top of your lashes first, then the bottom. When it dries, it will tighten and ‘pull’ your lashes up. Whenever I do it-it looks like i’m wearing fakes lashes.

Question 10

How do heat eyelash curlers work?

  • i wached a tutorial by ahanhbarbie ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4rYujTnHj… )youtube and she uses a sally hanson lacoss heated eyelash curler but im not sure about the whole heat by your eye thing.
in the video, she mentioned that the heat wasnt very hot but in a comment below it said that they burnt their eye on one so im kinda scared to go out and buy one at ulta.
my eyelashes are straight and all so it does seem like a good idea because its kinda just like a heated mascara brush and i absolutely cannot use the normal kind becuase i always pinch myself to death so it would be alot easier to use.
oh and, don’t post any comments like
thats a stupid idea, just use a normal one, etc because thats really not the kind of answer im looking for and your just pretty much wasting your own time

I think they are worth it. It kind of works like a curling iron with your hair. When you apply the heat and make a shape (ie; curling), the hair will take that form. So when you use a heated curler it will take the form because of the curving movement you did.

If you don’t want to pay a lot for one, you can buy a regular curler and just use a blow dryer to heat it up. That is what a lot of people do. It works just as well as a heated curler. Also this way you can control the temperature.

I wouldn’t curl your eyelashes after you put on mascara. It could pull out eyelashes, and when you squeeze the curler, it may make your eyelash roots smudge together and look clumpy.
