I’ve been always impressed with the amount of information on variety of
topics available here. Although I don’t post a lot , I read it regularly.

Well, my 9 year old was pulling and pulling her eyelashes until one day
she came crying from school because there were almost none left.

It’s been about 2 months now, and they are growing back but not as fast
as we’d like. So I was getting a bit worried.
I went to dejanews, did search and found all the information I needed
right in alt.fashion. After reading about all the people who lost their
eyelashes and got them back with no problem, I feel much better.

BTW, are there any creams or remedies that would make them grow faster ?

I have a client who’s daughter was doing the same thing.. it is a stress
reduction mechnanism, as is twisting and knoting hair.. I would suggest a
doctors assistance in this matter as it is a manifestation of a more serious
concern…

How can you make your eyelashes grow longer?

It seems that when your born and your hair on your eyelids start to grow in, thats the length its going to stay for your whole entire life. I want to know if theres a home-made regimin or a store bought product that can make them grow longer or at least get the illusion. I dont like fake lashes too much.

Everyone’s hair has a maximum growth limit, which includes eyelashes but there are ways to extend the ‘life’ of the hair. First, vitamins. there are complex’s designed for hair, skin and nails such as Perfectil but a lot of people take pre-natal vitamins which are cheaper and essentially the same.

Do NOT wear waterproof mascara. It dries the hair and irritates the hair shaft. It is also a nightmare to remove which damages the hair and shaft.

Always use a proper eyemakeup remover to prevent damage. This is also good advice for the whole eye area as scrubbing to get them clean will damage the skin around the eyes. Who wants lovely lashes when you have eyebags and wrinkles?

Lastly, I use a product called Ardell Lash accelerator. It conditions the lashes better than a mascara. As you know from the hair on your head, conditioned is healthier. You can use it under your mascara to protect during the day and at night. Use twice daily for 2 months and you will see a difference.

Once, I over-plucked my eyebrows and I thought I would leave it to grow out for at least four weeks. In the meanwhile I applied a thin coat of petroleum jelly over it before I went to bed and it did help the growth process. It really depends on how fast your hair, nails and eyebrows grow so for some their eyelashes and eyebrows may grow quickly if they apply petroleum jelly on it or it may take a while to see some results.

You cannot get long eyelashes permanently your’e either born with them or not, revitalash will only lengthen them for a temporary period of time and it’s not worth it because it costs 100 dollars for a small tube and on top of that there is a warning that it might darken your eye color.

an easy temporary way: eyelash curler & mascara

try using vasaline that makes it strong
but if you want it longer you will have to invest some cash to buy revitalash

I’m not quite sure if race has to do anything, but I am Asian/Chinese.
I have extremely short eyelashes, taken from my father’s side of the family.
I want to make them grow longer, without always using mascara.
Any suggestions on how to do that?

Yes it does make them stronger and thicker. I have tried it and it does work. You can also apply it to your eyebrows too.

no, but plucking them 1 by 1 will result in the stimulating growth of the eyelashes

NO HONEY. It will not. You will, however, be running a race to the toilet every 30 seconds. Grab lots of toilet paper. I suggest good mascara, or if you must you can have falsies, but that is too superficial for me.

I think your best bet would be an eyelash enhancer. I use them myself and I can say that many of them really do work. There are lots of different types – with drugs, without, all natural, etc – and different prices from expensive to very resasonable.
