Question 2
What is the best way to get asian eyelashes curled and stayed curled?
I am japanese and my eyelashes are straight and don’t curl up. I have tried all those mascaras in those magazines that say they work…..they dont. I have bought about 5 different types of eyelash curlers. Does anyone know a possible solution that might have worked for them or on someone you know? Please help.

Put the blow dryer to your curler. Enough to get it warm, not too hot or else you will singe your lashes. If you make it to hot, let it cool down enough to the point where it is comfortable to the grip. Curl your lashes with the heated curlers, just like you would curl your hair with rollers or a curling iron. Apply the mascara immediately following. They should stay curled
Question 3
How to curl lower eyelashes and what mascara to use for lower eyelashes?
- My lower eyelashes are kind of short and flat to my lower eyelid. Though I have a lower eyelashes curler (found at a Japanese store), I am not quite sure how to use it to curl my lower eyelashes so they won’t look flat to my lower eyelid. Anyone has the experience using any lower eyelashes curler to curl lower eyelashes?
By the way, I am wondering which mascara works the best for lower eyelashes to make them look longer (and possibly curling)?

To tell you the truth, you can’t curl your eyelashes that are on the bottom lid!! If I were you, I would try to lift them up gently with a Q-tip so they don’t lay flat on my skin like that. I’ve never seen anyone with their lower lashes laying flat on their face without the curl so you’re the first one that I know of. Lower lashes are usually curly naturally.
As for mascara on the lower lashes, if they aren’t curly, skip the mascara altogether because you don’t want to end up with raccoon eyes an hour later! If I were you, I would use a brown eyeliner and line half of my lower lid instead and make it appear like it’s my eyelashes that are really dark. Don’t line the entire lid because it’ll close your eyes.
If your lower lashes curl just a little, then use Max Factor 2000 Calories mascara because it dries really quickly and doesn’t smudge base on my experience. As for the mascara that is really good at holding a curl then I def. recommend any of the Shisheido mascara (Japanese brand and specifically designed for Asians with stick, straight eyelashes
Question 4
Eyelashes being permed?
- More information about my eyes here… http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AkqDl0bfH4dN9eFnDv7Eh5cjzKIX;_ylv=3?qid=20090303205251AAYfQtT
I want to get an eyelash perm… Most people don’t like the idea of having a perm on eyelashes, but if you think about it, it’s the exact same concept for when you do your hair; your hair just stays curly without having to curl your hair everyday. It’s more like a time saver IMO.
My eyelashes are so straight and coarse its ridiculous. I wear contacts, and my eyelashes are fairly long so I have to curl my eyelashes first to avoid pulling on my eye too much while putting them in. To curl them, I literally have to hold a warm eyelash curler and hold it place for 30 seconds. I do the “3-step” curling technique: Base of the lashes, mid, and outer parts. ( I use the Japanese brand “KAZ” since Shu Umeura the “best seller” doesn’t do what it says it should.) And then the curl will stay for about… 30 minutes?
So for those of you who have done it:
Besides “going blind” what other risks are there?
Does it hurt o_O?
I’d like it professionally done, so what kind of place was it?
Around how much did it cost?
Additional Details
Edit:
For those of you with not much cosmetology experience…
The perming solution doesn’t go directly on the eyes. There’s “protectors” so the stuff won’t go into your eyes.
Like when you bleach your hair. The chemicals are too strong to be directly applied to the scalp (much like the skin by the eyelashes) therefore, the bleach is applied about 1/4 inches away. Give or take.
You can’t dye your eyebrows since the hair there is so close to the skin and it doesn’t stick out, like eyelashes and you can’t move it like the hair on your head to dye it. Tinting it is a different story though.
Do not use the word “gay” as a word for “sucks” or “not cool” It’s offensive to me and others.

Haha I answered that “information about your eyes” question!! I’m the one who suggested using Maybelline XXL Curl Power and using glossy mascara first etc etc.
I take it, that didn’t work or you just didn’t try?
Anyway, its not bad at all to perm your eyelashes, why would it be? And lol how can it possibly hurt as its done to your eyelashes?!
My friend got her eyelashes permed AND tinted, and she looked really good… I asked her what she did and she casually said she got her eyelashes permed and tinted, I think its about $20 in Australia to get them done… Thats what my friend said anyway
