I need help with make-up!Plz help?

Question

everyone who suggested this mascara.  I’ve tried so many and
after a little disappointment with Chanel, I decided to try the Makeup
Forever.  It is the best mascara I have tried.  I love the look, though
it does take a bit of work to apply, but the effort is worth it!

Answer

Another great thing about the MakeUp ForEver mascara is that the want is
completely bendable.  If you bend the wand, it will stay in any position
you place it and will go back to straight!

Make-up tips? Please Help me!!!! 2 part question!!!?

My high school graduation is coming up at the end of the month. My graduation will be in the Morning. I bought a gold dress, silver bag, and silver shoes, and silver earrings( I didn’t want to overdue on the gold). I will be wearing my hair in a lowponytaill with curls at the end.

I have brown eyes and don’t know what to do with my face meaning make-up wise. I am getting all my make-up from make-up forever brand line(eyeshadow, eyeliner, lip goss everything).

My question is what color eyeshadow should I get and color lip gloss as well as eyeliner? I was thinking along the lines of gold eyeshadow with silver cat eyes eyeliner and false black eyelashes. What do you think?

I’m bored of the way I do my make-up, eye make-up mainly. I’ve been doing it the same forever. IF you can’t tell, I wear eyeshadow that matches my shirt usually or a pretty, shimmery brown. I wear eyeliner from the outer corner to the middle on my upper and lower lid waterlines. I wear mascara and curl my eyelashes a lot. That’s pretty much it.

I want to bring out my eyes more and make them look pretty, especially if I smile because my eyes squint a little.

Give me some ideas or tips please.

Well you have very pretty blue eyes. So for your eyes try gold and a dark brown or even black. Line the top of your eye lids, and outer corners of your eyes with the dark brown. Then use the gold for the top adn bottom inner corners of your eyes. try using a small and angled brsuh. thmac duos usually work well.

Question 4

Some basic make-up tips?(im a newb) And which brands are good for what…?

  • HII! i’m new at this…make-up stuff xD so i kinda need some people who’ve had experience for help!!
    im subscribed to alotta make-up gurus on youtube for a while now and i’ve never actually put on heavy make up like that. .i just want to know how to put on simple make up :] since im not even out of high school i don’t wanna put on eyeshadow and foundation and all that heavy make up.
    just simple stuff like eyerliner, mascara, chapstick and maybe concealer :]

    and ALSO, i want to know which brands are good for what. like which brand is the best at mascara and stuff and which is best for concealer and stuff like that. when i mean which brand is GOOD, i mean like…they stay the whole day and don’t smudge(i understand i would need some touch ups down the road…)

    okay for starters: MASCARA i currently have the big orange Lashblast Waterproof ..Covergirl (i think ?) mascara…it doesn’t SAY covergirl on it..but its the exact same design i found in Walgreens. O.O??
    idk….is there a mascara thats really good in volumizing and extending eyelashes and doesn’t flake?

    next: EYELINER
    i bought a liquid eyeliner to test long time ago at Walgreens (once again) and it’s not…really good. i want to buy a Gel Eyeliner and a Angeled Brush cuz it seems to be better and not smudge….?idk
    would it be good if i just picked some up at a drugstore?

    finally: CONCEALER
    i just bought a random one in my skintone at a drugstore cuz i don’t really look at make-up in the malls….SOO many stalls there i don’t wanna deal with it xD. and i’m really picky so i would take forever…so i just chose a random one at drugstore since i don’t go to the mall all that often either.
    its like some tube that says “24 hour blah blah” and it looks like a lip gloss tiny bottle thing…

    i don’t think its that great….doesn’t feel really comfortable..is there a brand thats not flaky and is light but covers imperfections on your face really well?

    ~~~oh and and questions: do u have to prime your eyes even if your only putting on eyeliner??
    which eyeliner method is better: pencil, gel, or liquid? (right now im preferring gel, even though i haven’t tried it yet)
Additional Details
thank you, so far, everyone :] didn’t expect such quick replies xD
what i use on a daily bases and i think works the best for everyday wear that isnt too much or trashy looking.
i use a cover girl concealer with the blue cap because its oil free (or something i forget) and i used the same kind of powder in the blue case. next i used a cover girl blush its called tru cheeks ( i think) it comes in all different shades, the kind i used come with 3 different shade of pinkish brownish. i used black eyeliner from AVON and Great Lash Blackest Black Mascara w/ the curved brush.
I’ve only ever used these kinds of make up and i think they work the best. I have used other eyeliners but i like AVON’s the best i goes on so smoothly. i only use pencil eyeliner (i’ve tired using liquid and i made a mess of my eyes so i never used it again)… oh and i only ever curl my eyelashes if i put mascara on. i love Burt Bee’s chapstick
Question 5
Im 13 and I want to start wearing make-up, but I’m pretty sure my mom won’t let me?
  • I’m going into the 8th grade this year and I want to start wearing make-up. I only want to wear the clear mascara pretty much, but I don’t know if I’m too young or not. I haven’t asked my mom yet, but I’m almost positive that she won’t let me. The reason is because when my friend and I just put on make-up for fun at her house, I normally don’t wash it off enough and when I get home my mom says “Are you wearing make-up?” and she kinda freaks out and says stuff like “I don’t want you wearing make-up”, but I think that it makes me look pretty. I also liked how the extremely faded eyeliner (after i tried to wash it off forever) looked too, but I have really no idea how to put it on, lol, but I most likely wouldn’t wear that yet. I just want to bring out my eyes a little, I want to wear the clear mascara because it curls my eyelashes and darkens them a tiny bit, and I think that it would bring out my eyes a little. So my questions are…
    1. Am I too young to wear make-up?
    2. How could I ask my mom to start wearing make-up? (If you think I’m old enough)
    3. I guess if I did wear the really faded eyeliner, how would I do that?
    4. If I do wear the clear mascara (and possibly the really faded eyeliner) any tips?
    Also I think the reson she doesn’t want me to wear make-up, well at least one of them, is because other girls at my school wear WAYYY too much eyeliner and eyeshadow, and I think that she’s afraid I will end up looking like that. Plus she told me that she didn’t want me looking like that when she realized I had the really faded eyeliner on (which I didn’t really realize, I just thought they looked prettier for some reason, because I thought I washed it all off, lol) So yeah,
Hii.
I think grade 8 is a good year to start that’s when i started too. I really didn’t know how to put it on though. :S
Also clear mascara is really appropriate i only wore eyeshadow, and coudos for you knowing whats appropriate. :)
Im sure if you sit her down and tell her that you want to start experimenting and try to make a compromise that you maybe only wear it on weekends and just mascara.
Also if she says she doesn’t want you to “Don’t wear it” you will just be showing her that you cant be responsible type thing. You want to show her you respect her for that.
Sorry for writing so much. Hope I help :D Happy Canada Day if your Canadian!
Didnt see the other questions.
For faded eyeliner draw a thin line as close to your lashline and take a quotip and smudge the line.
For the last question to make mascara look natural you can take the wand and wiggle it at the base of your lashes it will make them look thicker but natural
Question 6
How to decrease time in applying make up?
Or getting ready? I have been able to streamline some of it for just everyday but not for events or when I have to look better than just going to the store or out and about.
This is what I do now. Shower and moisturize. Blow dry my hair if I didn’t wash it the night before (then I let it air dry). I have thick hair but it dries fast and I have an ionic dryer so it’s about 5 minutes. My hair is long layers and I put the top up in big hot rollers then apply my make up.
Mascara, eyeliner on bottom, one shadow on top, quick swipe of Advanced Radiance foundation, lipstick followed by gloss, curl eyelashes and then one more coat of mascara. Total time is about another 5-8 minutes. Take out rollers, finger comb and spray voluminizing spray. Shake and I’m done.
Everyone has some things they like and don’t like. I have clear skin and don’t need blush, powder, concealer or highlighter (though I use it for night). But, I have blonde skimpy lashes and a thin upper lip. So I spend the most time trying to look like I actually have lashes and I put plumper on my upper lip followed by the lipstick, a dot of gold in the center, then the gloss so they will match my fuller bottom lip.
It takes me forever to get ready for a night time event it seems. Full rollers all over my hair (don’t need to straighten it first), undereye concealer or brightener, more coats of mascara on upper and lower (which have to be done so carefully and combed out for clumps), Photo Finish primer, really blending foundation but still allowing my natural blush to show through as I despise blush or bronzers on me, dotting highlighter, shadow primer, using 2-3 eye shadows, lip primer, lip liner on top of the the lip products, etc. Probably about 45 minutes which I hate. I like to be out the door fast without a lot of fussing. Any tips on how to decrease all of that?
Plus, are there any real hair styles that are wash, fluff, and go? Because I don’t need to straighten and my hair dries so fast, I have always wanted to skip spending so much time on my hair. It’s thick but fine, natural blonde, straight, and I have a heart shaped face. I don’t mind bangs or without. Right now they are long side bangs that could use cutting or I can grow them out. My hair also grows very fast. Any ideas on that?
The reason is that I travel quite a bit and sometimes have to get ready really fast but my photo will be taken so I don’t want to look like I didn’t spend ANY time on grooming either.
Try scrunching your hair. After you towel dry your hair, add some scrunching spray (Aussie works best!) to your hair and scrunch from the bottom up. Just shake your hair and go!
Good Luck! Hope this helped! :D
Also, try just leaving your hair the way it naturally is, if you run out of styles.
Yup i think that’s it! ty!
Best Answer – Chosen by Asker
You could always try getting some natural highlights using Sun-in. This stuff is really easy to use and I actually use it a lot in the summer! You could also use some brighter colors in your makeup. Just have fun with stuff and don’t try too hard. Natural is always in!
Question 9
Shopping at Sephora or other beauty stores, what are some things you regret buying and why?
  • Just wanted to know some of your reviews with certain items and what you guys prefer and what you guys do not recommend at all.
    1. What is your favorite/the best make up remover out there?
    2. Any drugstore brands you guys prefer and for what?
    3. Best eyeliner, eyeshadow, mascara, eyelash curler, cover up, etc.
    4. Anything else?
    I’m a HUGE fan of the Make Up Forever’s Aqua Eyes brand. Can’t get enough of that stuff, mucho expensive as well. I’m also a big fan of Juicy Tubes! But I think I should go for more drug store brands, since money doesn’t grow from trees.
1. The best face wipes are Mac makeup wipes. They smell great and don’t make your face feel greasy or watery after you use them. Way worth the price. The best makeup remover for just eyes is Lacome. I don’t know the exact name but it’s blue. It really does the job and doesn’t irritate my skin.
2. I prefer Mac for the majority of the stuff. I love Mac’s studio tech foundation, their lip products, and their misc. items like the fix + or wipes. For the best eyeshadows, especially if you like shimmer, Urban decay is pretty much the best. They are very pigmented and go on flawlessly. They remind me of Mac Pigments without the fallage and blends better. Nars is also good for blush.
3. Best eyeliner: Mac kohl pencil. Best eyeshadow: Urban decay. Best mascara: Kohls flirt! thickening mascara. Best eyelash curler: From what I used, my revlon worked good. I have naturally nice eyelashes though so I really don’t need one. Best cover up/ foundation: Mac studio tech foundation (makes my face look flawless) and Mac cover up (the one in the little squeeze tube). Best blush: Nars. Best lipstick/lipgloss: Mac (I hate lipstick but started useing Mac and now always wear it and adding in the different gloss’s they have makes it nice to have a pick).
4. I would love to try Make up forever, theres just too many great brands and hard to keep up with! ahah but yes, if they come back out with their aqua eyes eyeliner pencils in the gift set again, im really considering getting it. Im sad i missed out before. But anyways, what i regret buying. I regret the dior diorshow mascara. I was so excited to get it because all I heard was how great it was. Dumb me, I bought it at sephora without trying it on because I wanted my beauty insider points when I really should have went to nordstroms and had them try it on me. It was the worst mascara I ever bought. It clumped and made my lashes stick together like no other. Biggest waste of $24.
Question 10
How do you attach eye/face gems?
I know a lot are self-sticking but I just don’t trust that they will stay on for more than a few moments let alone a whole day. Could I just use false eyelash glue? or what kinds of adhesive would you recommend for safe use on the face and eye area.
For example I have seen feathers attached to/behind/beside the eyelashes, or gems and or accessories near the eye or down the face as so:
^ These are all just examples.
Also where can I find or how can I make things like this for some what avant garde make up styles?
FALSE EYELASH GLUE! -trust me, i’m a dancer. At talent competitions that kind of glue is the BEST. It’s easy to apply, and doesn’t harm sensative skin!
