What is the best way to put on false eyelashes?

I have a pair of Maybelline (read: drugstore aka. cheap) false eyelashes that are really cute. But for the life of me, I can not figure out how to put them on. Everytime I try, I just get glue all over my eyelids. And details please! Do I put them above the lash line or under it? Safe with contacts?

I love fake eyelashes. To be honest, it just takes practice. First, take your first lash. Apply a really thin line of glue along the track. Slowly, while in front of a mirror, bring them up to your eye so tha tyou can get a close look at what you are doing. You will want to apply them juuuuuuust above the lash line (imagine that you are drawing on eyeliner, where the eyeliner would be is where your fake lashes will end up being. Holding the lashes with the tips of your fingers on either end, flip them so that the glue is towards your lid. Take both ends and put the first end on the corner of you eye. Once the first end is in position, slowly push down the rest of the lash. Once it is entirely in place, push the enitre lash against your lid to ensure adhesion. Do the same on the other eye and you will look great! you might want to apply some liner over top of the glue so it is not visible. Best of luck!

Mascara that looks like your wearing false eyelashes?

has anyone tried a mascara that has made you look like your wearing false eye lashes, or whats really good a lengthening mascara? most are thinking why not just wearing false eyelashes,but i cant never figure out to put them on right.thanx

i used Maybelline alot,so anything but that would be fine.

Best mascara to make my lashes look false long?

Im looking for Dramatically long false eyelash look

ive tried maybelline falsies…collasall….and the double tubed one…. im willing to try anything…preferrably if i could get it in a store…rather than online. but id be willing to buy online as long as its a reliable site.

Well, for starters, I’ve never been able to get my lashes to look super long. BUT I’ve come across many basic mascaras that, when used with another, can help you get the look you want. I’ve tried all those mascaras that claim to offer both length and volume and have never received what the manufacturer promised. Friends of mine used Lash Stilleto and found that their formula smelled so bad it made them gag, while I tried the Lengthening one by L’Oreal (the one with the ball on the wand) and found that the formula was icky and that the ball brush was super clumsy.
Anyways, what works best for me….
I used to use Mabelline’s Full N Soft with Maybelline’s Lash Discovery (this one is really good at lengthening and I do like the skinny brush). However, I’m trying to use more animal friendly brands so I switched to Almay and use their One Coat Lengthening with their One Coat Thickening. I have found that the formulas stay put without flaking, my lashes look long (not fake long though) and thick without looking spidery, and that my lashes still feel soft (not stick hard or brittle). I think these are really good mascaras… well for me at least.

 Isn’t using false eyelashes in mascara adds false advertising?

Especially with the dawn of the Maybelline Falsies mascara, they say it gives you the “false lash” look without using false lashes, yet the models advertising the product are all wearing false lashes, and all the pictures are edited. If you look at the trio of models from the commercial the black girl on the left is clearly wearing a “beyond natural” pair with extra flair on the ends. ie) they’re not spikes, or demi lashes, they are all thin, and very long, and they get longer as they get towards the ends. It’s so easy to spot falsies when you know what you’re looking at.

So in this example, because they company promises a false lash look WITHOUT false lashes, yet they advertise their product WITH false lashes, while using photoshop to edit the photos. Isn’t that false advertising, which is illegal? How are they getting away with it?

Always look for the finer prints. Moreover, you can never prove, legally, that its false, and they get away with it.

What mascara can give me lon, thick eyelashes?

I know she’s wearing false eyelashes but I want thick, full, and long eyelashes! I just don’t want long and defined. I want it to look like I have lots of lashs! I’ve tried every cover girl mascara, maybelline full and soft, and maybellene xxl extensions. HELP!!

Im a huge eyelash person myself, i have about 20 different mascaras right now. In my opinon to get the thickest eyelashes you want something with a big fat brush, i recommend maybelline colossal in the yellow tube. For longer lashes you want a smaller more bristled brush, i think the plain old great lash blackest black grat lash in the pink and green tube is the best. & if your really wanting to splurge the best mascara to get is definitely dior. and an eyelash curler is worth the money, just make sure you take your time with it as to not pull out your lashes.

Does the new Maybelline “Falsies” mascara work?

I saw on the commercial that it makes it look like you are wearing false eyelashes, like that’s how good it works. Just wanna know if its true.

Hun, well to tell the truth . . . the “Lash Stilleto” or “Collosal” mascara works just as well as the “Falsies”. I reviewed it on my web show, where I review all types of make up and hair products. If you want to try it, I would try it . . . but make sure to wash it off every night, because it can give you blood shot eyes. Also, if you wait a while the price on it may drop down, to like 4 bucks . . . maybe. Well, I hope this helps you out. P.S. In the actual commercial the models are using fake lashes. I edited the commercial on my computer movie maker, slowed it down, and zoomed in and it was very easy to tell that they were fake. The line was little crooked on both eyes, and in one shot when you zoomed in you could see the glue! Haha, amatures.

I got the mascara, cause I really want my eyelashes to look like that, but hahaaaaa, yeah right? Is there any possible way to make them look like that without actually false lashes? Or a way to make them just look huge, full, thick, and long?

if you want them like that they you will have to buy fake eyelashes!

but if you want a thick long lash look, just layer on the mascara! this is what i do…i own about 6 mascaras!

put on
1.a cheap mascara to seperate eyelashes
2. another cheap mascara but wear alot of it
3. doesnt matter if its messy, it will look good in the end…put a lash lenghtening mascara on
4.make sure you get ALOT at the roots!
5. use your favourite mascara and finish it off:)

but all depends on how much you put on..these are not very thick, but you can make them as thick as you want

also by wearing liquid liner around the eyes will make your eyelashes look super long

i need a good mascara for LENGTH! and good separation! my lashes have a nice curl and volume. but i dont want any clumps, and long like false eyelashes. which one should i get?

LASHBLAST
(I find that the rubber wants are WAY better than the soft feathery wands – the rubber keys shape and you can rinse off while the normal old school wands just have mascara piling up on them and when you wipe them off the bristles lose their form)

I would also like for it to have them make my eyelashes look like falsies. Something from Covergirl, Maybelline, Rimmel, anything from Wal-mart and that’s cheap under $10 and I don’t want to use false eyelashes.

I hear this about XXL Mascara’s from Maybelline but, why do I get different results???

I read all these reviews and from people here that XXL mascara is awesome mascara and it creates a “false eyelash effect”. Well in the past I have bought this mascara and I will tell you exactly how I put it on:
I put on one coat of the white to lengthen.
Then immediatly afterwards put on the black.
Now, sometimes my lashes turn gray, and other times they are black but sometimes can still show a little bit of white lashes. This bugs me!! And WHY DOES THIS DO IT?!?!? Everyone says it looks so good and I love the way flase lashes look and I just don’t get it! For all those XXl mascara users, I really need your help!!!!!

For one, you need to let the white primer dry first then apply about two or three coats of mascara to get the effect of the magazines. Also try a lash comb to separate any clumps.
