Should I dye my natural red eyelashes brown?

I am a red head. I have red eyelashes and brows. I just dyed my hair brown. Should I dye my brows and lashes brown too? Do I look weird? Here is a picture:

Eyebrow and eyelash dye?

Hi there,

I have strawberry blonde hair and white eyebrows and eyelashes,
I have been tinting them at home for years with either a brand called colorsport or a brand called dylash both available here in uk.

Thank God i’ve always been ok using the stuff, as has my sister (who is a natural brunette but for some weird reason has sandy blonde eyebrows!)
But lately i’ve read all this coverage about allergies to a chemical called parapheneledine (i probably spelt it wrong!) /ppd, i think it’s like a coal tar dye thats in majority of hair dyes and unfortunatly is in these two lash dyes. I’ve heard that someone can develop an alergy at any time even if they’ve used it before, and some allergies have been near fatal.
I wanted to know a safe brand of eyebrow and eyelash dye, http://www.eyestodyefor.co.uk/ I have heard of swiss-o-par which is a german produced brand has anyone used it? if anyone dyes their lashes/brows, what do you use? Am i just being paranoid about this hair dye allergy? Is it extremly rare?

mostly rare to suddenly develop a allergy
but if anything happens out of the ordinary
go to le docs / hospital

I have a friend who is a guy and his eyelashes are really black, and it looks like he is wearing mascara. People have been making fun of him since 3rd grade. He isn’t goth or emo, he is just stuck with them. Is there any way to dye them brownish or something that looks more natural?

Can natural red heads dye their hair different shades of red?

I have natural red hair. It varies between shades of auburn (dark reds), and shades of strawberry blonde. I was just wondering; if I wanted a DIFFERENT shade of red, such as shades acquired by dye, would I be able to? I’m not saying some violent shade of cheap, raggedy anne doll red, but a lighter red. I have dark blue eyes, rather porcelain, untanning skin, cinnamon freckles in mass quantity all over. However, my eyebrows are a shade of cinnamon like, brownish and/or red, with blonde undertones, it appears. So, eyebrows aren’t a problem. And oh, black eyelashes. So, I’m not ENTIRELY fair. Suggestions, thoughts, epiphanies, discoveries, etc?

yes, you certainly can. it’s a great way to maintain your natural colour but make it look a little more brighter or shiny. good luck.

HOMEMADE EYELASH STAIN?

I have blonde eyelashes and was wondering if anybody knew a homemade recipe I could make and put on my eyelashes to stain/dye them black. I just want natural looking black eyelashes without all of the mascara!!

I found an eyelash dye kit and it does a wonderful job dying my invisible blonde eyelashes black. I love it! It’s Diva 30 day mascara in super black by Colorsport. I don’t know if they sale it in the States (where I’m from) but I picked it up at a drugstore in the UK. I researched the ingredients and as it turns out, it’s just regular black hair dye. You have to be careful not to get it into your eyes, of course (and I have, it just stings a little, it’s not like you go instantly blind) but I apply it with a clean mascara wand, leave it on 10 minutes and carefully wipe it away, then I wash my face. It only take a very little bit to coat your lashes and if you have cotton swabs on hand to wipe up the little skin staining smears, then all is good.

First off, most important DO NOT try to dye your eyelashes or eyebrows. People do often have darker eyebrows than the hair on their head. I know a guy with a red beard, brown hair, and blonde eyebrows. If your hair is dark brown but your body, eyelashes, and eyebrow hair is black brown will not look much different so if you want to go for it.

Can a redhead with auburn hair and strawberry blonde eyebrows and lashes dye them all black?

I have auburn hair and blonde eyebrows and eyelashes. I wanted to try something different. I thought about doing it for awhile now. Just a simple change for fun its not like I am intending to hide who I am or anything, or that I don’t like my hair. I noticed my fellow redhead Ms. Lohan did it and she has the same shade of red hair as I do and fair skin and it looked good on her. I dont know anything about dyes or using them for eyebrows and eyelashes. I dont know what permanent and temporary dyes are either. If I do it will it ruin my natural color? I don’t think it would look bad on me. Oh well. If anyone wouldn’t mind sending some advice my way I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Why don’t you just try on a wig and get some dark eyebrow pencil and black mascara, then you would know what you look like instead of ruining your beautiful hair?
Then if you want the change go ahead and do it professionally, and of course it would take a lot of doing to keep it up, not even considering the expense. I had very nice auburn hair and colored it and now I wish I had not done that. My advice: Don’t do it. But, if you do anyway, please go to a professional to have it done so it doesn’t get all messed up. Ok? And Please, please, please, don’t try to dye your own eyebrows or lashes. The risk of infection, and blindness is definately not worth it! There is even a warning on the instructions on hair dye not to do your eyebrows and lashes. It is not something to attempt yourself in any case. Good Luck!

Redish hair sort of brown and dull not a bright orange, I have natural black eyelashes so i wouldnt be a ‘ginger’
