How to heat an plastic eyelash curler?

Question 1
How to heat an plastic eyelash curler?
any other tips , the culer also comes with some type of comb and a brush on it.How do I use them?
Best Answer – Chosen by Asker
soak the eyelash curler for a bit in hot water and dry it off before you use it, the comb is to separate the lashes after you put mascara on them. The brush is probably for eyebrows there really isnt much you can do with it on your lashes. If your looking for thick lashes heres a great way to get em… comb lashes to separate, apply mascara curl with curler apply another coat and
brush out again to separate
Question 2
Eyelash Curlers: where to buy the plastic things in them? Or, is it time to buy a new eyelash curler?
So I’ve had my eyelash curler about like 2-3 weeks, and I’ve been curling my eyelashes everyday, and had a successful curl each time. But now, as the plastic has been getting creased, it’s getting less effective. Is there a place where I can buy the new plastics? Or is it time to buy a new eyelash curler?

I’ve had my eyelash curler for years and never replaced the pads. I don’t have any trouble with the curl with mine. I’m sure you can buy replacement pads. Check the makeup section at the store where you bought it. If nothing else, buy a new one. They are inexpensive.
Question 3
Which is one better for me to buy a metal eyelash curler or a plastic one?
I don’t want to spend a lot of money on a heated, electronic one. I realise that you have to keep replacing the pad on the metal eyelash curler, but I don’t know where to buy refills here in Sydney? It’s so hard to find replacements, I would buy a metal one if I could find them.

i find that the metal eyelash curler lasts longer, plus you can actually heat it up with your blowdryer and use it as a “heated eyelash curler.” supposedly you should replace the pad every 6 months to a year but by then you are supposed to replace the whole curler…. ): …..but i’ve had my curler, shu uemura eyelash curler, for more than a year and have not had to replace the padding on it yet. i think replacing it, unless it’s completely broken or cracked, it’s more for sanitary purposes. as long as it curls your eyelashes it should still work. my curler still works great, but i do sanitize it after each use (wipe it with alcohol) i actually saw a neat tutorial the other day on youtube in replacement of an eyelash curler. you would use a spoon to curl your eyelashes and can even heat it up with, again, a blowdryer. search for tutorials on youtube: curling eyelashes with a spoon. hope this helps
Question 4
Is a metal eyelash curler better than a plastic one?
Which should I get? A metal one or a plastic one?
Best Answer – Chosen by Asker
I like metal better because you can use your blow dryer to heat it up and get some extra curl out of your lashes. I think the best ones are metal and have a good spring coming up from the bottom of it. Don’t just get one with the prongs, look for the little spring.
Now, that I think about it I can’t think of a plastic one I’ve ever like or remotely worked well.
I have a “purse-sized” plastic one I keep in my work drawer, that I keep thinking I should throw away because of how worthless it is.
GET METAL!
Revlon has a good one I like, it’s gold. I think it cost $6 bucks at CVS.
Question 5
How to make a metal eyelash curler fit your eye?
I recently got a metal eyelash curler after using a plastic one for some time. A metal one offers me better grip and curls my lashes more, but the problem is, it is hard to align the tool properly against my eye – I end up gripping the skin around my eyes too sometimes, and can’t seem to be able to get hold of much eyelashes to curl, especially those on the inner sides of my eyes.
How can I make metal eye lash curlers work for me?
Best Answer – Chosen by Voters
I am deathly afraid of clamping eyelash curlers. After I apply my mascara, I turn my blowdryer on the coolest and lowest setting and use my finger to curl them while I dry them. This works really well for me. I don’t wear contacts so I don’t know how blowdrying your eyelashes effects them, but my eyes never water or get dried out. It does make my finger get messy, but I am sure you could use a eyelash brush, or a disposable applicator.
Question 6
Eyelash Curler?????
I feel really stupid asking this question but I have a plastic eyelash curler from revlon I just bought yesterday. Does the plastic pad go on the bottom or the top when you clamp down or does the metal part?? I’m very confused…please HELP!!
Best Answer – Chosen by Asker
Pad goes on the bottom. When you put it up to your eye the curve corners curve down like a frown. Make sure you get it as close to the roots as possible or you will have a kink in the middle of your eyelashes.
Question 7
Whats the best ? a plastic and metal eyelash curler? WHY?
Best Answer – Chosen by Asker
I find that a metal eyelash curler works better as the plastic brakes easily, if you want your eyelash to curl easier you can heat your metal curler with a hair dryer but not to hot!
Question 8
Plastic eyelash curlers?
Do they even work. I bought one without really realizing a metal one is better. Will it still be good though? I have the travel sixe sonia kashuk one

is there a better mascara for me to use?

first thing. do you curl your lashes AFTER you’ve put on mascara? curl them BEFORE you apply mascara. the lashes tend to stick to the mascara that’s on the rubber part of the eyelash curler that’s why they’re plucked so to avoid the mascara on your eyelash curler, use it after you curl your lashes.
the best eyelash curler is from shu uemura. according to magazines and a lot of people. including me. you will have to shell out $24 but it’s worth it. they have the mini eyelash curler which is $17. i have the regular one.
one last thing, change the rubber part of your mascara every so often. I change mine every 3 months. I don’t use them everyday
Question 10
How to make your eye lashes curler and longer? Not using plastic eyelashes.?
Best Answer – Chosen by Voters
Blast your lash curler for a few seconds w/ a blow dryer to warm it. Test it against your fingers before curling your lashes to make sure it isn’t too hot.
