I need you input on professional fake eyelashes!

Question 1 : I need you input on professional fake eyelashes!
Lately I have seen several people with fake eye lashes done at a salon. These are all young girls like in their 20’s. I am middle aged and I was thinking about getting some fake eye lashes that I do not have to put on and take off everyday. I was also told that some salons put them on top of the eye lid and some flip the eye lid and glue them underneath for a natural look. I have very sensitive eyes and I was concerned about that. Could you please tell me your experience with professionally done fake eyelashes! Thanks! False eyelashes and the glue that is used?
Answer 1 : Wow… I didn’t know they could they do that… Have you worn lashes that you put on and take off before? Have you had problems with those glues??? I’m so curious to see if anyone has done this…
Answer 2 : No, I have not ever worn any kind of fake eye lashes from a drugstore or beauty supply store! I feel like I would not be able to do a very good job of putting them on, and it looks kind of difficult
Answer 3 : would want to know how easy they are to remove??? (can’t really imagine what kind of glue allows them to stay on for any length of time. Or doesn’t trash your real lashes.)
Only ’cause I have pretty decent lashes, I wouldn’t actually bother… except for maybe to have some fun on a night out, or special event. Once you get the hang of it, they aren’t that hard to put on… However,It’s not easy right up front. Like anything else it takes practice… They are fairly cheap… You can easily get used to the “feel” of these… I can’t decided if they are easier than contacts. It seems that whenever I wear them, and it’s been years since I’ve worn a pair… that it takes maybe an hour or 2 to quit noticing them… You can even learn how to place them under your own lashes…but I wouldn’t try that until putting them on top is super easy!
Have fun with it…
Answer 4 : A few years ago I had lashes put on. They basically glue on individual lashes to your own and they fall out on their own over time.
With makeup application and removal, I think it lasted me 3 weeks…wouldn’t do it again as I ended up being OCD about it and ended up slowly yanking them off!!
Answer 5 :
I work with some women that flip the lid and glue them on from underneath. They look great but I would not recommend this at all for eye health and seriously doubt any opthamologist would as well.
I haven’t worn false eyelashes in sometime. To me they were easy to apply but now I am working on growing my own lashes and using a mascara that is easy to remove that is easy on my natural lashes.

Question 2 : I purchased some i envy professional glue but did not realize it was for individual lashes. Can this glue also be used to apply the whole lash it is not clear but black any help would be most appreciated.
Best Answer
it’ll work fine on strip lashes.
Question 3 : False eyelashes?
I need to take off my false eyelashes. My friend is a professional make up artist. She put them on me but i left her house with them on and forget to ask her to remove them! I already tried cream and makeup remover. I’m starting to get frustrated!! any ideas that work pls. Oh yeah i already tried rinsing it with soap and water.
Best Answer : Do not pull them.
Apply a material that will loosen the glue (like olive oil). Massage it on the eyelashes and wait for a couple of minutes. The oil will help remove the glue and the eyelashes should peel right off.
Soaps/toners/water don’t help.
Question 4 : Will these changes to my appearance make a drastic difference?
I am trying to stray away from my conservative image. I plan on losing 15 lbs, getting a tan, professional teeth whitening, getting my cartilage pierced, clear skin, dyeing my hair one shade darker, getting false eyelashes, and changing my wardrobe. Any other ideas and will this be enough?

Oh my goodness.. Wow… completely image reforming?
Okay wellllll
1. Losing weight- depends on whether you were at a healthy weight before. I mean honestly, you shouldn’t lose more weight if you’re… underweight :\
2. Tan- Meh… professional tans look really creepy if done too much. You start looking orange and I don’t think that’s exactly what you want. Maybe a day at the beach or something.
3. Teeth whitening- Professional’s good, and make sure to maintain that by regular brushing, flossing, etc. Maybe even those whitening strips
4. Piercing- I don’t have anythign pierced so I don’t know anythign about that, but I’m sure it would make a difference
5. Clear skin- Like… no acne? That might take a while… but that’s always helpful for healthy skin!
6. Dying hair- What’s your normal hair color? Some natural hair colors are already pretty and dying it makes it look weird. If you have a really pretty hair color already, instead of dying it completely maybe highlights or an underlayer or even just a different hairstyle
7. Falsies- I think makeup should be enough but you can try
8. Wardrobe- different clothes=different you! But it should be a you that you like!
Hmm… after all of this, I’m not really sure what kind of look you’re going for, but to me, I think all of those changes are a tad too much. Maybe just try one thing and see if it’s the look you like and keep adding things instead of doing everything at once. Wardrobe, hair, makeup, etc will change you a LOT! But if you’re really gonna change yourself, your personality has to match!
Question 5 : Is the false eyelash safe?
i am really thinking about trying false eyelash but i wanna know if it safe. i think the look real good especially when they are done by a professional or at a saloon

They can make a huge difference in how your eyes look…may take you a little time to get used to wearing them, but they are fun!
Question 6 : Best Professional Mascara? I have the smallest, lightest coloured eyelashes and I would like them to look fake without wearing false eyelashes.
I don’t mind paying $30 for a tube.
I have been using Dior Diorshow. I find that it is really great for a week or 2 and then it gets clumpy.
I have also used Lancome Hypnose. I like this one as well because you can layer it easily.
I tried MAC and found it too weak a product.
Anything else I should try?
Best Answer – Chosen by Voters
I use neutrogenia from the drug store…It’s wax free so it doesn’t clump at all but still gives you the length and natural looking lash that you are looking for. It costs about ten bucks. Which will be a good savings for you… sounds like you have been trying everything and spending a lot of money! Just because it is expensive doesn’t mean that it is the best pick!
Question 7 : Best sephora products for pale skin?
I have a sephora gift card and need to pick out some products. My skin is very pale and I have brown eyes with black eyebrows/eyelashes and dark brown hair. I want a dewy look, and I’m thinking about laura mercier’s tinted moisturizer. I have uniform skin tone, and when I’ve tried foundations and powders in the past it looks fake. What would look best with my skin? I’m also considering a luminizer or a bronzer. Does anyone know of a good brand? Also, which mascara is best for making my lashes look thicker? Do false eyelashes make a big difference or should I just stick to mascara? Also, I have genetic undereye dark circles, which concealor works the best? I’m going on job interviews what make-up can I wear to look older/more professional?
Best Answer – Chosen by Voters
Sephora dual bronzer is what I use and recommend. It’s about 16 dollars and it has 2 colors in it, so if you get carried way (wait that would be me sometimes
you can tone it back down. I use the Dior Show mascara in black and my lashes look long and dark all day w/o flakes or smudges. That’s 20.00. My dark circles: I have tried every tea bag, home remedy, cheap & expensive product on the market to “reduce, fade, etc……they don’t work so I use minerial camofuleur under my eyes because it”s THE only cover that works, with frozen spoons b4 I put my makeup on. I freeze 2 spoons and use them on my eyes. Sephora doesn’t carry the camoufleur www.makeupartistschoice.com/camoufleur.h…
My puffs and circles are genetic also. Lip Fusion for your lips because it lasts and lasts and gives you a nice pout.
Question 8 : Eyeash Extensions or Normal strip Flase eyelahes? Which are best, and what are the Pro & Cons of both?
I’m off on holiday soon, and want nice looking lashes (and longer length really!) as thats pretty much all i want seen as i won’t be wearing that much make up.
Would it be better to just wearing the strip flase lashes like these:
http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=ht… and applying them daily and taking off at night…
Or should i get the professional individual lash extensions done at the salon? also how long do they last etc..?
Best Answer
Get extensions- they last 2 months and are low maintenance and SO mucg more natural
Question 9 : What Mac false eyelash number (s) would be good for this look?
I’m looking for what number? like the 8, 31, 40 etc I looked at the numbers on the website but i just can’t picture what they’d look like actually on
I want to have a really dramatic and long effect a plus would to open up my eyes, but not drag queen, still kinda natural like these looks down here i think theyre beautiful, i know they all have professional make up artists and individual lashes but i’m looking to the closest effects that i can get with mac strip ones that’s why i need the number thanks a lot : ) xoxo

For the Megan Fox look, I think that the #20 are the closest. They are half lashes and become longer and longer to enhance that cat eye look that Megan Fox donned here. Possibly she used something similar to the #2s…they are rather natural looking, but I think that the 20s are closer.
For the second look, I’d guess a #34. She has very tight, thin long lashes and these gives that. Possibly also 4.
Katy Perry probably donned 35’s. Her lashes are long and consistent across, and very dramatic so most likely 35’s, but that might be a bit too much for us mortals to wear, so the 34s are a good supplement.
Kim Kardashian probably also wore the #20, because if you look at the closeup her lashes start short/regular length and becomes more and more elongated and this enhances her cat eye make up.

Best Answer
I’d say go for the first program because you’ll learn how to do bridal makeup which should involve, in a least some part, makeup for photography (how many people do you know that didn’t get a photographer for their wedding). From there you can build your portfolio and even apprentice under other makeup artists doing photo shoots. That way you’ll learn all the things you would learn from the 2nd course anyway. Good luck
