Question 2 : Are the Revlon Self Adhesive false eyelashes any good?
I want to try false eyelashes for the first time and i thought this would be easier.
Does it last the entire day? Worth the money?? Or do you recommend another brand for a beginner??

the false eyelashes are good but the adhesive is not so long-lasting. i will recommend you to buy DUO eyelash adhesive from MAC. i read that it’s the only one eyelash-adhesive that has been approved by FDA. it’s usually will last you the entire day.

actually the best false eyelashes i ever tried is koji dolly wink, it’s japanese brand so maybe you can get it online from ebay, etc coz i guess it’s not available in US. i like how they make the strip false eyelashes look natural. very pretty it’s bit pricey though.

i guess for beginner, Revlon ones are quite good. the band is thin so it’s very comfortable to wear. if you won’t it to be more long-lasting, you can apply DUO adhesive on top of the self adhesive and it will last throughout the day. it will save money if you can keep you false eyelashes in good condition so that you can wear it repeatedly for 4 to 5 times. but as the Revlon band’s is thin, i think you can wear it up to 3 times in maximum. false eyelashes with thick band will last better but yes it’s not comfortable to wear.my advice is not to put mascara on you false eyelashes and always curl and apply mascara to your eyelashes beforehand.after you put it off, get rid of the extra adhesive ( if it gets a bit hard, you can use eye make up remover) and keep it in the storage so it can maintain its shape.do not wash it with water coz it will loose it’s shape and become brittle.

be careful when you take it off, put on small dab of eye make up remover on your lid with cotton bud and let it absorb for couple of minute then you can start to pull it out gently. the good thing about the DUO adhesive is even the staying power is good but it is not difficult to pull it out. it’s a bit pricey but the little tube goes a long way. my friend wears false eyelashes everyday and it last her for 6 months.

Well the self adhesive ones tend to come off easier than the ones where you have to put the glue on. I’d say that you use the ones that you have to put the glue on by yourself.

Hi there.

Some false eyelashes require you to use glue (adhesive) to stick them on to your eyelids…. which some people aren’t comfortable with for obvious reason.

Self adhesive eye lashes already have a sticky layer on them that enables you to stick them on without having to apply glue to your eyelid or the lash itself.

Make sure you don’t have make up on your lids before you apply the lash… as it can cause problems with the adhesive causing them to drop off etc.

Or do you always need to use eyelash glue? I just bought some that say self adhesive but I do not know if they will stay on my eyes. Please let me know for anyone who wears these regularly. Thanks.

If they are self-adhesive, you do not need to put glue on them. Just like artificial nails, lashes that you glue on stay on much longer than the ones that come with adhesive already on them. Most false eyelashes can be reused, so if it tells you to use glue in order to reuse them, you may just apply them with glue the first time too.

Question 10 : How can i get my false eyelashes to stay?
okay well i bought some self-adhesive eyelashes from NYC ( i unno if that was my brightest ideas) but i had always wanted to try to wear false eyelashes cause my eyelashes are thin and not that great. can anyone help me with applying them? they dont stick at all! there is an adhesive on the lashes itself but they arent sticking to my eyelids. ITS SO PATHETIC! and when they do stick, they dont bend so my eyelashes end up pointing in the middle. anything would be helpful. thanks.

you should buy individual lashes and lash glue and put them on one by one………… make sure their short and match your natural hair color because you dont want to look like a drag queen.
