I really want permanent false eyelashes or semi permanent?

Question 1

My daughter bought a Miss Selfridge Summer Sorbet Swirly Lip Gloss stack.
They smell great and look great.

They are really great – our fave is Blackcurrant. Has anyone else tried
these? I thought they would just be gimmicky and not really show up but we
have found the colour to be excellent and the staying power hasn’t been too
bad either.

Answer

1. Has anyone heard of a permanent eyelash planting? A celebrity in my
>country said she had it but she didnt tell where or how so…does anyone
>has an info about this?

Not heard of this. You can have semi permanent (last a few weeks) lashes
glued on. I tried it a few times. I was not at all happy with the
results

>2.A beautician is introducing BROWNAISSANCE(a method of tattoing brows,
>lips and eyes naturally)  in my country..she said it’s been famous in US
>since 5-6 years ago
>but I dunno about the safety etc infos about this..does anyone have
>infos?

We’ve been discussing this elsewhere. It has to be remembered that this
is a *tattoo*. a mistake can never be removed. I wouldn’t trust 99.9% of
MAs to do that to me (even if I wanted the procedure). And most tattoo
artists are not going to be familiar with ‘make-up’ techniques. s for
safety – risks etc are the same as for any other tattoo.

>3. Need recs on good glues/adhesives for false eyelashes(the ones that
>really dissapear/trnsparent after they dry)

I use ordinary Copydex. (white rubber solution/liquid latex). The
ordinary lash glue doesn’t stick them well enough/long enough. And – no
- this doesn’t irritate my skin – which is farily sensitive, unless I do
it every day for more than about 4 days in succession.

>5. The bestest sunblock that’s not sticky and blends well with makeup(so
>far I found that sunblocks ruin my makeup bases)

I like Gatineau SPF 50 or, my new discovery (which isn’t available in
the USA so may not be any use) Safeway SPF 45 for kids (which does leave
a whitish film – but as I’d been paying 5 times as much for a 20th as
much Chanel product to do the same thing I’m not too upset about that!)

I’m not sure how much it would cost at a salon near you but there’s something called Eyelash Extensions and they can be applied to your eyelashes and they last for several weeks around 6-8 weeks and you can just get touch ups every once in a while to keep your eyelashes nice and long and thick. Hope that helped! Good luck!

Question 2

Do you know where I could learn how to put on false eyelashes?

Do you know where I could learn how to put on false eyelashes…because I had on semi-permanent lashes and when the woman went to take them off, she pulled a lot of my own lasehs off with it…Help…

Take the eyelashes out of the packaging carefully. Some false eyelashes can be very delicate.
Pour a small amount of glue/adhesive onto a sheet of aluminum foil. Recommended adhesives, sold in Britain, include Duo Adhesive (GBP 5, or about US$9) or M.A.C. (GBP 7, or about US$13). The key to good-looking lashes is decent glue/adhesive, so make sure you spend your money on the glue. Cheap ones are a waste of time.
Pick up the lashes with tweezers and dip the base of the lashes into the glue.
Blow gently on the glue to make it tacky. The lashes will stick to your eyelid better.
Hover the false eyelashes over the eye and slowly place the them in the outer corner first, making sure they are the right size for your eyes. Hold them in place for a couple of seconds (or until the glue is quite dry), then continue attaching the eyelashes towards the inner corner in the same way.
Remove the eyelashes before removing the rest of your make-up. Don’t tug roughly on them, as you could remove some real lashes as well! If they do not respond to gentle pulling, wet a washcloth with warm water and hold it over the lashes to loosen the glue. Store the lashes in their original packaging, so they do not loose their shape and you can reuse them.

Tips
If the fake eyelashes are too long, you can trim them so that they look more natural. But, don’t trim them while they are on your eyes. At best, you might cut off your natural eyelashes, and at worst, you might injure your eye and go blind. Don’t risk it – trim the eyelashes before you put them on.
For a more dramatic effect, apply eyelashes on the bottom of your eyes as well.
Look for black eyelash glue at your local pharmacy or beauty supply store. It makes goofs look like eyeliner.
Try to attach the false eyelashes as close to your real lashes as possible.
Go easy on the glue so that it does not build up on the false eyelashes or clump up your real eyelashes and leak into your eye. A thin strip across the band should do it. You can remove excess glue with a cotton bud once the lashes are in place.
Warnings
If false eyelash glue gets in your eyes, don’t worry. Just rest your eyes for a while. If they get too bad, take the eyelashes off and wash your eyes out. After drying, you may be able to apply the eyelashes again.

Question 3

Who makes good, natural-looking fake eyelashes?

Does anyone know of any good false eyelashes? Where did you get them? I don’t want the super long, fakey ones.

Has anyone ever tried getting the semi-permanent eyelashes put on? If so, how did you like them?

i love MAC’s #4 lash, it looks extremely natural, like all of their falsies. They stick incredibly well when you use duo.
here is the website where there are different kind of lashes that might suit you:

Question 6

Longer eyelashes?

Is there a way to permanently (semi-permanent?) lengthen my lashes? I would like long exotic looking lashes without having to glue on false lashes all the time!! Seems I remember salons use to glue on individual lashes, they still do that?
