False lashes should do well for you though I would check with your physician to make sure there’s no contraindications for the lashes that you still do have left. Once he/she okays the use of false lashes I would suggest strip lashes that are not too full. Lashes usually ARE glued to the skin and not to the lashes but the natural lashes do act as stabilizers and bear a tiny bit of weight. If your lashes are damaged in any way or are not healthy, very thick false lashes might be a bit too “heavy”. Try a “half-lash”. These can be very pretty and have as much impact as a full lash and can be easier to put on. If your lashes are fairly healthy and strong, you can try the flair lashes – 3-4 individual lashes dipped into the same lash glue (Duo surgical is the best IMO). Place three or four Flares on the outer third of the eye. If the lashes you have left are in really good condition, individual false lashes can be glued to individual lashes. You can do this temporarily (with the Duo) or by lash extentions which I don’t really recommend either even though I’ve been trained and licensed to do so. Strips and flares are going to be your best options.
Here’s some quick instructions to help you with application:
First find a place where you have good light, a level table or vanity and a mirror that tilts or lays flat. You’ll need your lashes, adhesive (DUO is a great brand and found in most drugstores) an orangewood stick, mascara, small scissors and, maybe some tweezers.
Have your make-up on and your eyes lined just the way you like. remove one of the lashes from the package with tweezers and bend it several times in a “U” shape to get it flexible. Measure the lash against your own eye. Most lashes need trimming. If this is the case, trim from the outside end of the lash. Do not curl your own lashes prior to putting on false ones. It makes it a little more difficult to place the faux lashes. Put one generous coat of mascara on your own lashes and then proceed as follows:
Take one end of the orangewood stick and place a small amount of glue along the band of the false lash. Let dry for several seconds or until the glue is tacky and starts looking like it’s going to turn clear. At this point is where most people divide on how to apply. Some people adhere each end first and then wiggle the rest into place. I find this does not work for most. Instead, I place the outter edge just where the lashes meet the skin and use my clean end of the orangewood stick to work the lash into place until each part of the lash is down.
In order to blend the natural lash with the faux lash, apply a coat of mascara and you’re good to go.
It’s best to apply the lash with your eye open but looking downward so slant your mirror quite a bit or even lay it down on the table in front of you.
Practice makes perfect so just grab up some of the cheapest lashes you can find on sale and spend an afternoon putting them on and taking them off. With practice, you’ll be doing it quickly in no time at all. You Tube usually has tons of videos for stuff like this.
You can always use individual “flares” instead of strip lashes. 3 or 4 flares along the outer third of your lashline can make just as dramatic an effect while looking quite natural. Application is usually easier too.
Sorry i know it sounds really dorkish but i’m used to the full ones- trying these for the natural effect.

okay, i haven’t ever applied teh singles, but i was reading the responses you got and one of them said to apply the single lash onto an existing lash – be careful about doing this! – by which i mean to say, don’t do that,
put the lash onto the skin – if you put it at the end of the lash then you are more likely to rip the lash out!
besides if you are going for a natural effect then you don’t need for the lashes to be sooo long anyway!
Question 2
Individual false eyelashes or the single strip?
I’ve been using the single strip kind and I love the way they look, but do individual lashes look better and longer?
and can you use individual lashes on your bottom lash line?

I used to use the individuals, but then switched to the full strip, which I now prefer. The secret is to cut the strip in half. They mke lashes for your botton lashes. I wouldn’t recommend using the regular individuals on the lower lash.
Question 3
If the inside of your eye goes really red everytime you wear false eyelashes, can this damage your eyes?
my friend wears false eyelashes almost every single day, and the inside of her eye goes really red, and sometimes it stings her. Can this be damaging her eyes if she keeps wearing them like this? She wears the 1000 hours false eyelashes brand

She could be scratching her eye which normally isn’t a huge deal, corneal abrasions heal on their own…but if she’s exposing her eye to that day after day then she could do some serious damage to her cornea. She should give her eyes a break for a couple weeks and see if it still happens. If so then you know it’s not the lashes.

I always buy my lashes on Ebay from people who ship from China because the shipping and handling are free.
And they’re cheap to, like 10+ pairs for 6 dollars or something.
And they have the unique thick ones to for a little more for less pairs, but still cheaper if you went and bought them from a shop.

Question 6
Questions about false eyelashes?
I have long eyelashes but they’re not as voluminous and thick as I want them to be. I use mascaras but I want to try something different.
How long do false eyelashes last?
What brands have a good quality of eyelashes?
How do you remove them?
What’s more dramatic:Individual ones or the single strips?

I really love the effect false eyelashes have on making your eyes look bigger. I have used the strips on several occasions and find that they look very dramatic depending on the length. The individual ones look a lot more natural and are usually used sparingly in the corners of the eyes.
I buy the false eyelashes from regular grocery/drug stores and they cost only a few dollars and work really well. You also have to buy the glue that comes in a tiny tube. It takes practice getting just enough glue on the eyelash strip that it holds it in place without being too much. Try and aim for a glue amount that just covers the eyelash connector. Wait about 20 seconds after applying the glue so it gets slightly sticky and not wet/runny then put it right along your eyelash line on the skin.
To remove it you basically just peel it off. The glue isn’t very permanent or strong so it doesn’t hurt. I’ve had them on for an entire day but I’m sure they could last longer if you don’t wet them.
Make sure to curl your own eyelashes and then apply mascara after you put the falsies on so it hides any mistakes.
Question 7
What should I use to remove my false eyelashes?
I got them put on individually and they are single lashes, and a few have come off and some I myself have taken off, and I can leave them on for 2 weeks, but some are stuck and I don’t want to pull them off because it pulls your own out, so is there a product I can use or is there a way to do it? x x x

Question 8
When applying false eyelashes, do I do my makeup first?
I want to try to start wearing false eyelashes, but do I do my makeup first or after applying them? Can I put on mascara over them to blend them in with my natural lashes? how do I remove them? Should I use singles or the full strip things? Obviously I need some help. Please and thank you.
And as always *IF YOU CANT SAY ANYTHING PRODUCTIVE, GET A LIFE AND INSULT SOMEONE ELSE PLEASE.*

Put your makeup on first and then apply them. Mascara is great for blending them in with your natural lashes. Do this after you apply your eye shadow and stuff. Also, you might want to trim the fake ones if you have not done so already. To remove them, gently pull one end and it should come off pretty easily. = ) Hope this helps! Also, I use the full strip eyelashes because the single ones look dumb on me. Maybe I am doing it wrong but even the single ones are longer than my natural lashes? Lol.
Question 9
How can i remove false eye lashes? and where do i apply the single lashes?
hi, I’ve never used false eyelashes. but i really want to. i wanted to know how to remove it and i also want to know where am i suppose to apply the single ones? Do i apply them to my real lashes?
Ok, now whether I’m using single or regular lashes, how long do they last on me? like, once i put it on, how long will it take for them to come off, or am i suppose to take them off after the day is over?
Remember, I’m new to this:] and i need your help(:
THANKS BEAUTIFULL PEOPLEEEE!!! please help!!:]

you apply the lashes rly close to the upper lash line above your lashes. You can get Ardell lashes from Target. You can trim it if it’s too long but you start putting it on (and if you cut it….which most people dont have to) from the outer partworking your way inward. You take them off at the end of the day. You dont need too much lash glue but add a bit more to the ends cuz those tend to stick up! Good luck!
