Question 4 : How do you use one of those small modern eyelash curlers?
I’ve recently bought an eyelash curler. It is very small and it looks like a model in a bottle eyelash curler. Here is a picture of something similar:

Do any of you have one and know how to use it?
I’ve looked all over the internet but can only find ‘pull out the lever at the back’ but as far as I can see there is no lever. Please help.

Shu makes the BEST eyelash curlers…I LOVE IT !!! But at that point id just toss it and get another…they’re 14 bucks at sephora.

Question 6 : Drugstore brand eyelash curler vs. Shu Umera eyelash curler?
For now, I have always just picked up eyelash curlers from Target, Walgreens…any of those kinds of stores. I go to Sephora a lot though and people are always talking about how the Shu Umera eyelash curler is the best.

So I was wondering if anyone has actually gone from drugstore curlers to the Shu Umera eyelash curler and noticed the big difference for themself?

I have super long eyelashes, but they are also SUPER straight, which makes it take forever to curl them without them falling right back straight before I can get my mascara on. I really wouldn’t take long to get ready in the mornings if it wasn’t for my lashes taking forever to curl! So, does the Shu Umera eyelash curler really work as great as they say?

Oh and if anyone knows about Sephora’s individual lash curler (the small one meant specifically for corners), how do you like that one?

Best Answer
Get the Shu Uemura one. Shu Uemura curlers are the ones that are the standard for good curlers. And they aren’t expensive. So get it!
And I haven’t tried the individual one, but it’s only $5, so why not get it?

Question 7 : Is using an eyelash curler contributes to eye lash loss?
I dont have that many eyelashes, and im using Shu Uemura eye lash curler. I cant tell if im losing eye lashes but i love using an eyelash curler because it makes my small eyes look bigger (my eyelashes point down -_-)

So, is using an eyelash curler about 3 times a week contribute to eyelash loss??

I used shiseido, and the rubber thing always cracks, and i didnt notice that it was pulling my eyelashes out… SO DONT USE SHISEIDO!

It doesnt contribute to the loss of your eyelashes. Im a boy and I was born with naturally curly eyelashes ;) i guess im just lucky like that. But when you curl your eyelashes dont squeeze it hard when your releasing them. Just push your eyelashes then immediately let go. I would stop using the eyelash curlers until your eyelashes start growing back or at least be careful :)

Question 8 : My eyelash curler ‘trimmed’ my eyelashes…?
okay so i was curling my eyelashes and the eyelash curler ‘trimmed’ a part of my eyelashes. its actually a small portion, and it only ‘trimmed’ them about half way, so its not like the part is bare.
do you think they’ll grow back to full length, and if yes how long would you say it will take them?
thanks((:

I got one eyelash growth product from ebay, and I’m very satisfied with the results so I would highly recommend this product.

The tube and tip applicator is like a mascara tube, but its transparent so you can apply it before bedtime and also before putting on your mascara during the day. My eyelashes gradually grew longer in 2 weeks, now I’ve been using it for half a year and I’m very satisfied :)

not sure how long it will take to grow back, but apply some vaseline on your eyelashes (not huge globs) every night before you go to bed. makes it grow faster
Question 9 : Eyelash Curler Problem.?
Okay I am thinking of getting an eyelash curler, but im afraid it might make my eyelashes fall out or like smaller because my eyelashes are long but still. I was wondering how to use an eyelash curler and which one would be good to use. Oh! and does it harm the eyelashes if you use it too much? coz im sick of using mascara cause when i wash my face like 3 pieces of my eyelashes fall out because of how much i use since i try and make them more thicker and nicer.

So any suggestions?

Any sort of eyelash curler will work. If you can find one, get a plastic eyelash curler because it will hurt less if you accidentally clamp onto skin. There is no way that an eyelash curler will make your eyelashes fall out unless you clamp it on and yank. Basically, it’s a curved device, that will clamp onto your eyelashes against a rubber bottom
and as you clamp down on it, the edge will fold your lashes upward, thus curling it.

Also, a good makeup remover will help you keep your lashes in your lids when you wash out mascara. I’m using Shiseido Pureness Refreshing Cleansing Water, Oil-free, Alcohol-free. It’s expensive, but very good. And you don’t have to use a lot at once.

Also, curling your eyelashes won’t make them thicker, as with mascara

Question 10 : Chinese eyes, eyelash curler help please?
its my friends birthday soon i was gonna buy her an eyelash curler, (with other stuff) because she has Chinese eyes and is always complaining that eyelash curlers are too big and pinch her eyes. can anyone with small or oriental eyes suggest a set that would work for her that’s available in England? Thanks everyone.

Ok I am the Eyelash Curler queen…so

Shu Uemura is the obvious one. It’s a real classic, available from mail order (Harvey Nichols) or their store in Covent Garden.

Shiseido also do a curler – a lot of Chinese women prefer this cut to the Shu – this is available from Shiseido counters. Now it depends how much time you have, but I highly recommend you order them from www.adambeauty.com.

They are very good and take 3 days to deliver from HK (I use them all the time!) and its also much cheaper from them.

Also – Shu & Shiseido adapt their UK curlers slightly because the asian eye is a different shape the the western. Therefore, the ones you buy in the UK will work well up to an extent – but one that you actually buy from HK will be made of the Chinese eye (less curve at the edges).

Alternatively, there are sellers on Ebay who sell curlers made in HK. There are many other brand such as SANA who make good curlers…generally good ones are hard to find.

Oh or you can get her a voucher to get her lashes permed! Its availble in many salons, normally cost £20.
