Im wondering what are the best false eyelashes to use?

Question 1

would really like to try false eyelashes, but I’m not going for a
Halloween Wet N’ Wild look. I just want to add a little glamour, and
have them look fairly natural.

What is a good brand of false eyelashes and where do you buy them?

And since I’m a novice when it comes to this, any tips and tricks on
how to put them on in a way that doesn’t scream “I’m wearing false
eyelashes!” would be great.

Any suggestions that would make applying them easier would be
appreciated as well.

I have bought many different brands of lashes.  For regular lashes, I
like the old Andre or Artmatic ones you can get in the drug store.
For funkier ones (silver mylar, i.e.), I have bought Stargazer and
Manic Panic brands.

I always buy a real tube of adhesive, as the one that comes with some
brands isn’t that great.

I also usually cut about a fourth of the strip off from where it would
be at the inside of the eyelid (toward the nose).  That way, I have a
better chance of getting them on and stuck the first time.  Plus, I
don’t need big lashes towards the inside.  Basically, I cut them to
fit my eyelids.

After the basic application of the adhesive (spread a thin amount
along the strip and wait until it starts to clear up a little, then
it’s tacky and ready), I pop them on and hold my finger over the strip
for a couple of seconds to make sure it sets.

After it’s dry, I sometimes use a lash curler to mash my lashes in
with the falsies.  This works best with crazy colored lashes.

I never use mascara with false lashes.

Hope those tips help!

I love the MAC lashes they have quiet a few to choose from and can be so fun plus you can always reuse them if you take care of them properly

Question 2

Can you re-use fake eyelashes?

Hi, I have these stargazer eyelashes:

And wore them to a party a few weeks ago. I want to wear them again, but am not sure whether it will be ok for my eyes?
Also, they have some glue on still, so is there any way to wash them?

Yes you can as long as you take proper care of them. Once you remove fake lashes wash them w/ a little bit of warm soapy water to remove any glue residue and make up particles. If you have trouble removing the glue then use tweezers to remove the glue that won’t come off. Let the eyelashes air dry before storing them away.

*Edit*
Yes you can wet your fake lashes, w/ a little bit of water. Your lashes end up w/ dirt particles from being outside and of course make up particles. You can even use make up remover to clean your lashes and no they will not lose shape, you can use a eyebrow brush to gently brush them out. Rewearing dirty eyelashes is not sanitary.

Question 3

Best brand of fake eyelashes?

I want some not too expensive fake eyelashes.
Plain black, that look natural but not really long.

I’ve brought some stargazer ones in the past and really didnt get on with them, i threw them away.

So basically – whats the best brand and price range for some decent natural looking, easy to use fake eyelashes?

For the most part, fake eyelashes are fake eyelashes…
obviously with the exceptions of really crappy ones and the real real expensive ones (think the $12,000 custom made mink fur lashes madonna wears…)

so how good some are depend on the length and fullness you are after, so its really just what you prefer, though i personally like to pay $18 for MAC falseys..

As long as you use good glue (NOT the ones that come with the product) such as duo, and the way you put is really all it takes to have good lashes. But be wary and look around. Drugstores, beauty salons, etc etc..they ALL have em! if they appear really tacky or ridiculously fake, then consider skipping on that brand.

Another thing…if you are gonna fork out $10+ for lashes, then i would suggest you look after them so they can be reused… such as not applying mascara to the actual false lash. Either put on mascara prior to putting on the lashes, or just lightly apply mascara to keep them lasting longer.

Question 4

How can I be a ’scary doll’ for Halloween?

I wanna be a doll..so im gonna wear:
Black dress with fluro pink tutu underneath, with black and white knee high socks and black and pink Nike Air Jordan’s.

I have black and pink stargazer fake eyelashes…my mums a makeup artist but i need to give her ideas. And I also have small eyes so..HELP!

Exaggerate the makeup.
Lots of blush, big eye lashes, big eyes, lipstick. If yoru moms a makeup artist she should know how to make small eyes look big.

I think the more stereotypical you can get, the better. a blonde curly wig might look good too.
