Eyebrow and eyelash dye?

• Hi there,

  I have strawberry blonde hair and white eyebrows and eyelashes,
  I have been tinting them at home for years with either a brand called colorsport or a brand called dylash both available here in uk.

  Thank God i’ve always been ok using the stuff, as has my sister (who is a natural brunette but for some weird reason has sandy blonde eyebrows!)
  But lately i’ve read all this coverage about allergies to a chemical called parapheneledine (i probably spelt it wrong!) /ppd, i think it’s like a coal tar dye thats in majority of hair dyes and unfortunatly is in these two lash dyes. I’ve heard that someone can develop an alergy at any time even if they’ve used it before, and some allergies have been near fatal.
  I wanted to know a safe brand of eyebrow and eyelash dye, http://www.eyestodyefor.co.uk/ I have heard of swiss-o-par which is a german produced brand has anyone used it? if anyone dyes their lashes/brows, what do you use? Am i just being paranoid about this hair dye allergy? Is it extremly rare?

i think you are being paranoid
mostly rare to suddenly develop a allergy
but if anything happens out of the ordinary
go to le docs / hospital

HELP! I tinted my eyebrows too dark!!!?

I used the swiss o par lash and brow tint in ‘brown’. I have strawberry blonde hair and naturaly white eyelashes and brows. I tinted my eyelashes and they look great but when i did my eyebrows it was way too dark. Can anyone tell me what i can use to lighten them? please they look pretty bad.

Are you sure it’s just because you aren’t used to it? When I first got mine done I literally cried because I thought it was so dark and horrible, but my friends who knew I had it done said it looked awesome and my other friends said something definitely looked different but they couldn’t tell what, so it obviously wasn’t that bad!!

If it really is though, one time my friends were too dark and she used peroxide to lighten them up.

always dye eyebrows 3 shades lighter then your hair
allergies against dye are really rare but you should test by by dotting a little of dye on crease of your elbow and leave for 24 hours

what you do is squeeze the juice out of a lemon on your eyebrows and sit out in the sun for at least half an hour. that will definitely lighten them.
