Question 2

Thick, doll-like false eyelashes for a school dance?

So its my first real (as in formal) dance. I don’t usually wear a lot of make-up, just powder foundation and mascara; but i really like that doll look. Not fake, but the really thick eyelashes and maybe some glitter and very light pink blush. I love glitter, and will probably just get a light eyeshadow shimmer powder around the corners of my eyes (any recommondations?) and thick false eyelashes. i’ve only worn false eyelashes once in the past for like an hour. im not going for length so much as for thickness. i want thick ones, like this:

i don’t want to spend too much on them, like getting them from MAC, cause i’ll only be wearing them for one night. anyone know where i can find some?

we don’t have rue 21 where i live

I would reccommend using some e.l.f lashes. They’re surprisingly of good quality for how much they cost: generally $1-$3; I’ve worn the “natural lash kit” comfortably for the whole night and they really give off that doll like look :)

you can either order e.l.f products online or find them @ targets, CVS and even food for less lol

Just be warned: the glue that comes with the kit is total crap. I tried using it and the thing held for 3 nanoseconds before it fell :/ You’re better off using some other glue like lashgrip lol hope i helped

Question 3

Thick false eyelashes??

Why do girls keep buying the thickest false eyelashes they can find?? They’re supposed to look natural, not like you’re holding 2 pounds worth of extra equipment on your eyes!

False eyelashes don’t always have to look natural. Thicker ones can be fun for special occasions like partys and such.

Question 4

How do u get the thick, long eyelash effect without false eyelashes?

Best Answer – Chosen by Voters

I look down into a mirror so that I can get the mascara from root to tip and I use a fairly fat mascara brush and I start from the inner corner and work round to the outer corners. I put on 2 coats of mascara and then leave it to dry for a couple of minutes and then I put on another coat and hold the mascara wand against my eyelashes (forcing them upwards) and count to 20 and then I find that my eyelashes look enormous. It’s worked every time for me and i’ve been wearing mascara for over 15 years – just make sure you wash it all off properly before bed so that your eyelashes don’t become brittle.

Question 6

What mascara gives your lashes the look of false eyelashes?

I don’t want to have to spend a lot of money just to constantly get false eyelashes, plus I hear they’re a hassle. So what mascara can make your lashes look really long and thick, similar to false eyelashes?

Best Answer – Chosen by Asker

I heard somewhere that anything waterproof looks especially thick. Also I used Maybelline XXL for a while. It had a volume and a length side. There was this white stuff you put on first, and let dry to do volume and then you put on the black for length. It was a little chunky for me, but if thats what you’re going for, it sounds perfect for you.

Question 7

Im wondering what are the best false eyelashes to use?

what are the best brands of false eyelashes ( for thick big eyelashes)? Ive thought of stargazer ones but i dont know whether all of the packets include the glue too, and how many times can you use them ?

I love the MAC lashes they have quiet a few to choose from and can be so fun plus you can always reuse them if you take care of them properly :)

Question 10

How do you make your natural eyelashes long and thick?

I am going to my Marylin Monroe for Halloween and I want to make my natural eyelashes long and thick for the costume. I do not want to wear false eyelashes, so, any tips?

Best Answer – Chosen by Voters

Use volumizing + lenghtening black mascara. You can find this in any drugstore or beauty supply store. Apply the mascara like this:

1. Curl your eyelashes with a curler first (as to avoid breakage later)
2. Then coat the top of the upper lashes (try to start from the roots and then press the wand down until the tip to get all the lashes)
3. Now coat underneath the upper lashes (again, try to apply a lot of mascara without clumping)
4. Your lashes should now be coated thickly in mascara and perhaps even a little clumped. This is fine. Run the wand along the bottom of your upper lashes while looking up, using quick flicking strokes to “comb” the lashes with the wand and get all the clumps out
5. Run the wand underneath the upper lashes again, this time horizontally to separate the lashes
6. Curl your eyelashes again, except don’t press too hard or you will leave a visible crease (try to squeeze as close to the roots and as gently as you can)
7. Coat the bottom lashes with mascara as best as you can holding your wand horizontally
8. Now hold the wand vertically and run it across your bottom lashes (moving your hand from side to side)

Hopefully if you’ve done it correctly, your lashes should look very dramatic. Don’t worry about small clumps, they will make your eyelashes look fuller and more dramatic (since it’s Halloween). However, if you have large clumps, try using the wand (running it horizontally from side to side) to get it out. Try not to use your fingers because that will smudge the mascara and may clump lashes further.
