What is a good eyelash tinting place in houston/galveston?

Question
one have a recommendations for places (and specific people if
appropriate) to have eyelash tinting done in central Cambridge?
I had it done at the Atrium gym salon quite some time ago, and the
person who did it has since left; I had it done by her replacement,
and it really stung, so I’ve never had it done since. Of course they
may well have a new person by now anyway, but other recommendations or
disrecommendations welcome.
Answer
Beach holiday. Making my eyes look nice will divert attention from
the way the rest of me looks in a swimming costume! Waterproof
mascara is a pain, and normal mascara is clearly out in that situation
(pools, sea, heat).
In fact it’s useful in general when mascara is too much hassle, if you
always rub it off, or find it interferes with contact lenses, or or
just don’t get on with it for whatever reason. The lighter the
eyelashes, the more obvious and long-lasting the effect, but even dark
eyelashes look as if they have mascara on for the first couple of
weeks, without you have to do anything.

I am currently working as an Aesthetician in training and we do this at my school. I’ve done it myself. You lay down on a table, the Aesthetician puts a color with a primer and mixes it up, depending on what color they choose for you. While that is oxidizing they will prime your lashes with the same primer used to mix with the eyelash color. You’ll have Vaseline put around your eyes to protect other areas. They will ( hopefully) put wet cotton pads under your eyelashes when you close your eyes so that the color does not bleed onto your cheeks. During this time you’ll keep your eyes closed for 15 minutes usually. This includes the priming time, application, color time and removal. After you’ve been primed for 8 minutes, the color will be applied with a small brush ( like a paint brush) to your eyelashes. You’ll have the color on for 8 minutes. It will be removed with water and then removed with a color remover to get rid of any color on your face. It can burn when you open your eyes. It’s rare but it’s possible. The ones at my school are a vegetable based dye so it’s not harmful chemicals. After that you’ll have the eyelashes for 3-4 weeks.
Question 4
Eyelash tinting?
I have a fair complexion – my eyelashes are so blonde they’re pretty much invisible. I do love make up and mascara is one of my best friends…but it would be nice to run out of the house w/o needing to put on make up in order to give definition to my eyes.
What’s the eyelash tinting process like? Are the results worth the cost or should I just stick to mascara? What type of area do you live in (rural, suburban, urban) and how much do you pay for this service?
I have a great spa nearby which I trust – but it’s pricey and wanted some unbiased opinions before throwing down the cash.

I’ve always wanted to try this for the same reason you do, but I heard there is risk of blindness, and it scared me. I’m not sure how big the risk is.
Question 5
Is eyelash tinting safe or not?
I really want to get my eyelashes tinted, but I’ve read so many scary things like people having an allergic reaction to the dye or going blind. I’m just wondering if anybody has positive or negative experiences with eyelash tinting and if you’ve had it done, would you do it again?
Also, if there are any professionals who have done eyelash tinting, what is involved and how safe do you really think it is?

deffinently not you could go blind. no joke
Question 6
Eyelash Tinting: Should I do it? What do I need to know?
Hello -
My eyelashes are very, very blonde, nearly invisible. (I have a very fair complexion and strawvberry-blond hair.)
Can anyone out there share their experience with eyelash tinting?
Does it hurt? Is it safe?
Does the tint add any thickness to the lash (like mascara does) or just color?
Will I still need to add mascara?
How soon do you start seeing the blonde roots once the lashes start growing? How frequently do you need to re-tint the lashes once the color starts growing out?
How do I find the right person to do this? What should I look for in a sylist?
Best Answer – Chosen by Voters
eyelash tinting is quite safe if done by a profeeional. it will help your lashes stand out without mascara. it should last about 3 months without a touchup. call a spa or high end salon for this service as well as eyelash prems
Question 7
What is the difference between getting eyelash extensions and getting them tinted?
I know eyelash tint makes it look like you’re wearing mascara but don’t extensions do exactly the same thing while also making them longer? Help? Pictures would be great (like before and afters), and what do you think looks better in your opinion?
And what does an eyebrow tint do? Just make them appear darker?
Best Answer – Chosen by Asker
The difference between them is that tint makes them look darker (yes, like you already have mascara on) and the extensions make them look longer (as if they are already curled, prepped, etc). I personally think the extensions are better, because it’s harder to find a mascara that actually extends your eyelashes and it’s not as hard finding a mascara that will simply tint them and add color to them. Here’s some pictures I found for you:

Question 8
Questions from the clueless about eyebrow shaping and eyelashes tinting?
a) How long does an eyelash tint take-and can you go out straight afterwards
b) What is involved with an eyebrow shaping (I’ve never touched my eyebrows before!) and again would i look raw or could i go out straight afterwards?
some details: i want to do this while shopping and have promo work after shopping that i have to go straight to.
Best Answer – Chosen by Asker
a) I’ve had my lashes tinted before. It takes about 15-30 minutes, works best if you’re fair (my lashes are almost blonde), and in total lasts about a month (for me, anyway). You can go out afterwards but your eyes might be a little bloodshot; it’s near impossible to go through this process without excess rubbing (to get the dye off) and every time I have it done at least a little bit of the remover solution stuff gets in my eyes. Totally fine, but like I said, sometimes makes the eyes bloodshot.
b) Well, if you’ve never done eyebrow stuff, I wouldn’t recommend doing this right before something like promo work. Waxing makes a lot of people’s skin red for some hours afterwards. If you have someone PLUCK, though, you’ll probably fare better. I pluck-I don’t like waxing because I have sensitive skin. But still, even with plucking, your skin might be a little red for a while because, well, you’re pulling hairs out of your face! Either waxing or plucking at a salon should only take about 15 minutes.
Depending on how long you’re shopping, if you have this stuff done BEFORE you start shopping, you’ll probably be OK. But I’d recommend, just to be sure, having both done the day before if you can.

Question 9
Advice about eyelash tinting?
I was thinking about getting my eyelashes tinted. Does that mean they will be black? And can it affect my wearing contact lenses? Also does it hurt? And what exactly do they do?
Best Answer – Chosen by Asker
If you do get them done, first time, it’s best to get thme professionally done as they would be more experienced and know what they are doing.
Eyelash tinting does not hurt, it’s like the way you dye your hair, accept you have a brush, kinda like using mascara.
You can also choose what colour, like midnight blue, usually those who have very light eyes and hair, get them tinted darker, as it stands out more. It brings your eyes out more. i know a girl at my school with blonde hair and she got her eyelashes tinted black, everybody thought it was thick mascara she used, but it was all from the tinting. I say give it a go.
I’m planning to get mine done too.
