Eyelash extensions in NYC?

Hello fellow beauty junkie yelpers!

Please help me find the best eyelash extensions in NYC!

I have decided I want to try out eyelash extensions, I need a springtime beauty pick me up. I have been wanting them for a while but have been nervous, since I am a freak about things near my eyes (took me till last year to try contacts) I don’t know anyone that has them so I am at your mercy.

I’ve read the reviews on yelp and am confused!!! I’ve checked out some websites and have even made some calls to ask questions and I just don’t want to go to any salon and get them esp. with such an investment.

I have narrowed it down to- Lashtique, she really took the time to answer my gazillion questions and I am impressed(very) by the pics on her blog. Even the more dramatic ones look really real and natural.

Other option is  Pierre Michel since they also have great reviews on yelp and other sites. The only thing is their hours don’t mesh well with mine BUT if they are worth it I would figure it out.  My concern is no online pics, however, I’m into the “best of” title.

It seems the others I tried didn’t impress me or seemed bothered when I asked questions or the pictures looked either too spidery or too much like strip lashes.

Any help or other suggestions are appreciated I want to go ASAP. (funny, took me a year to finally decide to take the plunge and now it’s in my head and want them NOW LOL)

ask your dermatologist about Latisse.  I think the script is $120 since insurance wont cover it.

Salon 25 near Wall St. offers lash extensions. I saw them on one of the manicurists, and she looked great.

Some of the key features…clean facilities, get at least 70 lashes per eye, get it done in 60 minutes…If you can’t do all 3 for under $100 (first visit) then you are paying too much and need to try Wink

Try a high quality, small place that specializes. Yoshie at tres Belle spa on Bond Street off Atlantic in boerum hill bklyn is great.  Saw her do her thing on tyra banks

are there any hair salons that are able to achieve the “gyaru” hairstyle? as in for ridiculously but extremely perfect curls such as:

I’d sooner check out doing a Hair-Dryer? I take for granted that a hairstyle would be inappertinent for that
